NCT 127’s reaction to you overworking yourself

( tw// mentions of injury, self destructive behavior )

Taeil:

When Taeil found out that you were overworking yourself to the point of injury, he would be very very worried about you immediately. He would just want the best for you, and he would be devastated to find out your own passion would lead to your injury. His first reaction would to make sure you were okay, and just take you straight to the doctor or hospital. He would be mature about it and wouldn’t want to freak you out more by panicking, but he would also scold you for overworking yourself in the car on the way there. For a few weeks after, he would check up on you frequently to make sure you are resting well and make sure you don’t push yourself again. He would also prepare meals for you in advance so you would eat. “Y/N, please take care of yourself. I don’t know what I would do without you.”

Taeyong:

Taeyong would be very shocked at first, but his leader (and parental) instinct would kick in very fast, and he would run to get you water, a bath, whatever you needed. He would give you this sad look for awhile after the incident happened, his face just filled with worry and concern. He only wants you to be safe, even if that means cutting back on what you love doing most. He would definitely dote on you a lot, making sure that you were eating three meals a day and taking long breaks in between workouts. He would be like a puppy, following you around and making sure you were safe. Of course, he would still give you space, but for a few weeks he almost becomes an overprotective parent. “Please, please, please never do that to yourself again Y/N. Your health is way more important than your workout routine.”

Johnny:

I feel like Johnny would be the type to be very quick to get you help or whatever you needed at the moment, but then later on he would get frustrated at both himself, you, and the world. He would hate seeing you in pain and discomfort, and it would make him mad at himself for not making sure you were taking care of yourself before you pushed yourself too hard. Of course after he gets over the initial shock and anger, he would be the sweetest person on earth. Buying you food, giving you massages, whatever you asked he would deliver. “Y/N, I’m upset that you didn’t take care of yourself, but don’t worry. I’ll be right here if you ever need anything, you can trust me.”

Yuta:

He is definitely one of those types that would as well get mad just like Johnny, but he would be more devastated and pouty about it. He would be cold at first, which would hurt you, but he would comeback with endless apologies and kisses on the forehead. He also seems like the type to make you homemade food and give you more personalized care. He honestly had never been in this type of situation before, and didn’t know how to comfort you and that’s why he came off as cold. He will definitely make it up to you with long cuddle sessions and paying for dinner. “AAA, y/n, i’m so sorry i’ve been acting weird. I’ve just been so worried about you I can’t move. Never do that again!”

Doyoung:

Doyoung would probably react pretty largely about it in the beginning, repeatedly saying “aah what should I do?” ! But in the end, he is very very reliable when you need healing. He will be fast paced, quick, but some how very affectionate at the same time. He will definitely talk to your doctor or therapist a LOT, trying to help you in any way that he can. It may seem that he is just trying to get a task done, if it wasn’t for the long hugs he gives you, never letting you go just in case you get hurt again. He would also be a AMAZING chef, cooking you extravagant meals so you can dine like royalty while resting. “Never leave my side again, Y/N.”

Jaehyun:

This man would take every opportunity possible to remind you that you can always rely on him and that he loves you. He would give you new ice packs, sit with you to watch a movie, heat up popcorn if you wanted, just be like a superhuman. He would also be the type to sing you songs while you were in pain, soft things, just like his song try again. He would talk to your doctor/therapist in secret over the phone to try to give them as much information as possible, since you are too stubborn to do it yourself. Y/N may be stubborn, but Jaehyun knows ways to get around that. “I will do whatever you need, just please make sure to take care of yourself when i’m not around to. It breaks my heart seeing you like this. I’ll be your prince in shining armor.”

Winwin:

He would be so surprised at your state that he wouldn’t let you go from his arms. Sicheng isn’t usually the first one to initiate physical contact in the relationship, but this incident would bring out his protectiveness in him. He as well would have self doubts, thinking he wasn’t a good enough boyfriend to not notice the warning signs before hand, but you make sure to reassure him. There would be lots of backhugs and kisses on the cheek in this timeperiod. “Y/N... I have nothing to say other than I love you so much and I never want this to happen again.”

Jungwoo:

Definitely the type to be very reactive with these sorts of things, because he’s more of a caring soul. He would do his best to make your spirits higher by making you laugh, and acting cute like aegyo. You two would be the perfect match for resting days, because he would force you to relax and take some time off as to not push yourself. He would be more indirect with his caring, but you can still feel it. “I hope you feel better soon love, I can’t stand seeing you frown.”

Mark:

He would definitely have that classic Mark surprised face. Even though he would be his goofy and adorable self even through this, you would see a way more serious side of him that you’ve never seen before. Not quite aggressive with his love and care for you, but he has a more serious tone and definitely wants you to get better. He would try his best at cooking, which wouldn’t go that well, but it would be heart warming to watch him anyways. He would 100% watch movies and shows you love with him, even if he didn’t like them. Backhugs, backhugs, backhugs. He would show way more affection than usual, which is greatly appreciated on your end. “Honestly Y/N... I don’t know what I would do without you. You are an anchor in my life.”

It was a late Saturday morning, around 11 am. You and jeno were tangled together on your soft bed, and Jeno was grasping onto you for dear life. You sighed gently as you realized that even though you loved Jeno’s company, being squished is never fun. You tried to get his arms off of you, but he just shifted to have a better grip onto you. You gave out a sigh once more and stare at his face.

It was so beautiful.

You saw his every detail, and now you are wondering since when your friend got this beautiful. You could see his small smile lines that were engraved in his cheeks, his adorable mole just below his eye, his long and delicate eyelashes - he just looked so peaceful. He stirred gently and you slightly panicked, because it would be weird if he saw you staring at him. But this is Jeno we are talking about. It could never be awkward with him. He opens his eyes slowly and takes a second to stare, then his eyes go wide. You start to laugh at the ridiculous sight, and he lets go of his grip onto you, now realizing that he was accidentally killing you.

“Oh my god Jeno, you should’ve seen the look on your face!”

“Shut up, Y/N! Why were you staring at me in the first place!”

You both dissolve into laughter as you play wrestle on the bed. It was always like this between you and him. There was always so much happiness and contentedness when you both joked around with each other, it was such an unbreakable bond. Your friendship with him was your safe place. He never made you feel like you were a nuisance, or annoying. He was always there for you when you most needed it, and vice versa. You have never felt more safe in a relationship before, and he always made sure to let you know he loved you, even if it was not by words.

Jeno and you finally calm down from the fiasco, and are now sitting next to each other on the floor by the bed. You are both out of breath from all of the play arguing, and are even more tired than before you went to sleep last night.

Jeno starts to pout at you, seemingly to complain to you that you wasted all of his energy.

“You big cry baby, don’t give me that face!”

“But Y/N!! I’m so tired now, and it’s all your fault. Are you sure you aren’t the no fun one out of the both of us?”

You give him a glaring look before standing up and lending your hand to him. “C’mon Jen, lets go get some coffee. I know you love it, I’ll even buy you a macchiato this time.”

He immediately brightens up, and you can see the pure joy in his eyes as he grabs your hand and pulls you to the door.

“Well, what are you waiting for? Let’s go!” You smile as he drags you down the hallway.

You won’t forget this moment for a long time.

-ALTERNATIVE ROMANTIC ENDING-

You give him a glaring look before standing up and lending your hand to him. “C’mon Jen, lets go get some coffee. I know you love it, I’ll even buy you a macchiato this time.”

He immediately brightens up, and he grabs your hand. For some reason, the look in his eyes makes you want to melt. Your ears go red as you realize he is holding your hand now, and not letting go. He gives you his signature warm smile, and tightens the grip on your hand.

“I won’t be letting you go now, I hope you know this Y/N! Let’s get some coffee!!”

And this was how you found out your soulmate has been right in front of your eyes this entire time.
