A HanaNene Meta: Hanako and Life~
During the Mitsuba Arc, Hanako explains to Kou that death is the end—that being a spirit and wandering the Near Shore is *not* a continuation of life.
Because the dead have no future.
And despite death not being a continuation of life, despite Hanako claiming that he’s been doing whatver he can to make sure Nene enjoys the rest of *her* life...
Somewhere along the way...
Hanako, himself, has been having fun, too.
With all the shenanigans he’s gotten into with both Nene and Kou—he’s truly grown to care for life~
And compared to Hanako when he was alive—who gave up his own future—
Hanako has come to love life ;; to the point where he wishes things could always be this way—hanging out after school with Nene and Kou—
The boy who once hated life—
Now has fallen completely and entirely in love with a girl—a human girl, who is reckless and gulliable, but also a dreamer who is full of hope, with thick ankles he absolutely adore ;;
And the boy who hated life, who claimed death is the end—who called his own existence a punishment for his crime—
He wants to live—and not just *live* he wants to live with the girl he’s in love with.
Meeting Nene, forming the bond—whether or not it was for some ultimate plan Hanako kept from her, he unexpectedly fell for her—fell so hard that his entire world changed.
He’s so in love that death almost felt like a continuation for life for him—because she makes him feel alive.
And now, as he disappears, he finally admits it.
“I wanted to try living with you too, Yashiro.”
