“I’ll do all of the dishes for the next three months, I swear.”

“Make it four and maybe, just maybe I’ll let you finally have that man cave you’ve been talking about for months.” You smirk and give him a serious look.

“Okay then. Four months it is. Shake on it?” He holds out his hand to you and waits for you to make a move.

You reach out to shake his hand with a firm grip. You both smile as he playfully pulls you into a hug and kisses you on the cheek.

Instead you’re left with cold blankets and the smell of him left in the sheets. Now you’re lost to everyone, wishing death could come knocking on your door any day now.

But it doesn’t and you’ve never felt so alone in the cold unforgiving world. No sun shines where you live, nor does the moon light reach to your hair. Only darkness at your fingertips and the smell of smoke in your head now.

Now all you can feel is nothing, a living breathing human, yet empty. You were an empty shell and no one could fill that space in your heart. No you completely shut down now, nothing could save you because nothing could bring him back.

The darkness is almost suffocating, you wake up to black refusing to open the curtains. Friends don’t call you anymore no you’ve been long forgotten replaced by the laughing blondes that go on too many one night stands and get their hearts broken as a part time job. No, no one really remembers you, except for him. He still comes and knocks on your door, pays your bills and makes sure you eat because that’s what little brothers are for. Yet, you don’t see him as much anymore. No, it’s been awhile since his last visit maybe he’s forgotten about you too.

Even if he did remember you it wouldn’t be for long, your soul is on the tipping edge and it’s barely floating. No, tonight you know, will be your last night alone. Tomorrow the sun will shine and you’ll feel his warmth. Tonight you’ll bleed liquid sunshine from your wrists until you meet him again.

Tears leak from not only your eyes but your soul as you cry for him, cry for him to come get you, to come save you from this miserable place and that he does. Fingers interlocking with your own you feel a tug on your heart, you’re so close to him you can feel it. Blinking away the crystals you’ve shed you look up to see him again, smiling no longer bloodied on the road. No tonight he greets you with his biggest smile and brightest laugh. Tonight he tells you he loves you, that he’ll never ever ever leave you again and you believe him because the sunshine from your wrists is almost gone.

Your brother opens the door to hear you calling his name, running to the bathroom he finds you crying blood gleaming like rubies in the afternoon sun because for the first time in months, you’ve opened the curtains in the house. For the first time in months he saw your kitchen had been used to make a meal. Later on he realized that it was uneaten. Because for the first time in months, he sees you smile your eyes bright. For the first time Jungkook saw you look happy, and for the first time he saw your body slump over, skin completely cold to the touch. For the first time he noticed how the curtains had been opened but Hoseok’s name had been written in the dust. For the first time he realized that he had never wanted more than to be the one to die and not your boyfriend because now he had no one. Now he was truly alone for not even his crazy older sister would be their to cry on his shoulder and babble about her dead boyfriend. No, now he too would be the crazy one.

Hobi was the sun and he’s burned your soul and everyone else’s around you.

Rapmonster, Suga, and Jin I feel would be more towards the slow songs like ballads just because they would appreciate them more. Same for Jin and Namjoon, because their persona is more calm than Taehyung or Hoseoks.

It’s been days since the last time we spoke. I wish things weren’t like this between us. No talking, no seeing each other, being separated from each other over some stupid bullshit. It wasn’t my fault. And it wasn’t her fault. It was our dumb “friends”. Yeah, some friends they were, making us believe that we weren’t good enough for each other. But I know deep down that I am more than good enough for Y/N. Way more than any other guy would ever be for her.

I just wanted to see her again. But they ruined my chances of us ever getting back to good terms. Sometimes I just regret ever being friends with them in the first place. I somehow knew that they would drive a wedge between my relationship with Y/N, but I didn’t say anything. The one person that I’ve ever loved is pissed off at me over some mess that shouldn’t have even existed. I need to talk to her, to clear things up. Let her know that it wasn’t my fault. Or hers. I want her to know that I still love her and I still need her. I still appreciate all of the little things about her.

“Hello? I know I’m the last person whose voice you want to hear right now, but I need to tell you something and it’s really important.” My desperate cries fill the room as I start leaving her a voicemail.

“I just wanted you to know that it’s not your fault for what happened. And it wasn’t mine either. My so-called friends messed up everything for us and I don’t think I’ll ever forgive them for that.” Tears run down my face as I continue.

“I still love you and I’ll always cherish you. All the bullshit they said that I did wasn’t and will never be true. I think you’re the most amazing girl in the entire world and I couldn’t ask for anyone else but you. You’re sweet, loving, caring, and really down to earth. Even though you’re not perfect, you’re still mine and I’ll always care for you and love you and make you feel special. You’re the only one I’ve cared about and the only one I’ll ever care about.” As I come to a close, my face is wet from tears and I’m curled up on the couch, waiting for something good to happen.

“So I guess to sum everything up, I want you to come back to me and maybe we can fix things between us. I just want us to be together again. And I know deep down somewhere, you’re still in love with me. So when you get this, I want you to listen to this and if you’re ready to patch things up, just give me a call okay? I love you Y/N.” I hang up and think for a little while.

Is she going to listen to the voicemail? Or will she just delete when she finds out it was from me? Or maybe she’ll call me and we can get things back to normal?

As I get up from the couch to go to my bedroom, the phone rings. I turn around and run over to the phone as fast as I can.

It’s her. Y/N actually called back. She still loves me. I knew it.

I pick up the phone and hesitate to answer. I finally have the courage to say something.

Cue eye-roll. “That’s what you say for every volleyball-related injury you get.” You place a bandage on his cheek.

“It’s true though!” Your boyfriend put his arms up in defense.

“Jeon Jungkook, I will unscrew that ice bag and put the ice down your pants.”

“I can’t stand not being near you anymore, Tae!” You screamed into the phone, the rain drops pelted your head and masked your tears, but it didn’t mask your choking voice.

It’s been months now. You two never saw each other, when he was here - you weren’t. When you were here - he was gone. You would come home everyday for the past almost 4 months without seeing your other half standing in the door to ask you about your day. He wasn’t there to say “It’s okay you had a bad day at work, everyone has bad days! How about we get to boba to cheer you up?” He was never there, all you ever saw was an empty apartment and a lonely king sized bed that you slept alone in.  

“Y/N... I’m trying! You don’t know how hard it is for me too! Stop acting as if I don’t feel anything at all. I miss you so much you can’t even begin to understand. You’re making this all my fault when it’s equally your’s too!” His voice was broken and you chest felt more and more heavy the more time passed.

His words hit you hard. It was equally your fault, you were always away on work trips or extremely busy whenever his promotions ended or when he had free time in his schedule. You kept telling yourself over and over again that it was him that never came to see you. You just sat alone in your hotel room on trips and told yourself that if he really loved you he would’ve come to see you by now.

Cars passed by and the rain bounced off the ground and made the world foggy. But you couldn’t really distinguish if the fog was actually the rain or your tears clouding your vision. The air was clear and crisp and all it reminded you of was Taehyung and the day you met him. The air today was just like the air you met him. Look at how different things are now from back then. Back then, you thought, I saw him so much. I miss his box smile, I miss his hugs, I miss how he would ask me about my day and open up to me then I’d open up to him.

“I’m so sorry Tae...” You whimpered like a puppy that got ignored by it’s owner. “I can’t keep doing this to you, it’s all my fault.”

“Babe, what are you talking about?” Tae spoke softer now and his tone changed from angry to concerned. “When did I ever say it was all your fault? I have never said that.”

“Yeah, but that’s what it really is isn’t it? You can’t help the fact that you have a busy schedule, you’re an idol. You can’t do anything about it, you didn’t choose to not see me. It’s really just me who doesn’t have the will to go see you during your schedule, I should have. I should have showed up after practice, seen if I could stop by at midnight just to see you, even for a second. That’s what love is right? Loving someone means that you will go through thick and thin to see the other person and I’m clearly lacking. I’m so sorry Tae.” Your tears poured out and you body was numb. The bus stop you were by didn’t have any hood so you were stuck the pouring rain, but in a way it was comforting. The rain was there to hold you close and stick to your skin. It wasn’t a warm rain either, it was cold just like the pain in your chest.

“Y/N, please don’t do this, I love you,” You could imagine him, leaning over his knees in the dorm with a small tear running down his cheek. “Please. Please don’t.”

“I’m sorry Tae I can’t anymore, if I do this anymore I’ll only hurt you more.” As you spoke these words you started walking, you couldn’t feel your feet in your water soaked shoes, but your body willed them to move. In the phone you could hear footsteps and shuffling around. “Tae? Are you still there? Is this really the end?”

“Fuck like it is,” He responded after a few seconds and the shuffling returned,” Where the fuck are you Y/N?”

"Tae, I'm at the park a few miles from my house. Remember? It's where we met?" You sighed and looked around, wilting flowers and the whoosh of cars running by. Your body ached and all you wanted to do is crawl up in bed. "Tae, we have to end this. Our time is over, and I really wish you the best. I love you, but I can't continue hurting you and myself. Good bye Taehyung."

You pressed end and every emotion flooded into your body. Your phone dropped to the ground and your body felt so heavy it dropped to the ground.

You just broke up with Kim Taehyung. When the reality hit you, everything went black.
