Walking around Sterallia's market had Remy excusing himself to everyone as he tried to navigate narrow corridors and small stalls but he somewhat managed. He was still a little lost and trying to find his kid and others from the Spring court that he knew, not expecting to find one of the ladies of Spring. He was nervous about approaching her because after all, he was just a commoner in her village and she didn't have to know who he was or remember their scarce encounters over the years.

He looked as surprised as her about the dried fruits, something he was actually interested on and he looked over her, towering her a little but keeping her distance as not to scare her. "That's a nice way of looking at things. I'm still a little shaken up about all of this, I'm afraid, my lady." He confessed, his tone deflated. He wanted to go back to Spring, to his little cottage, to his plants and animals. "How are the other faes doing? I have not yet seen anyone from the Spring court." Remy had kept away from Sterallia until now but perhaps that was where his kid was. But he was scared to go looking.

IT WAS A NICE WAY OF LOOKING AT THINGS. But, what else was she supposed to do? Wallow in self pity? Cry? Cling to her parents like a whiny child? She was not whiny. She was hardly a child. She was a princess - next in line. If magic did not do the weird thing and choose someone else, that is. Like it did in Starlight with their High Lady - she heard the story from one of the Spring maids, who had heard it from a Summer maid eavesdropping during the council session her mother and father had attended.

she still had no idea what was decided - the maid had refused to say.

But, her mother would certainly do what's best for Spring, she'd known that. She only wished everyone could get along - though she'd also known it to be wishful thinking. "No, no, I'm with you, I'm absolutely mortified. But, we were given the opportunity to see what had not been seen in fifteen thousand years. There's excitement to it, not to mention awe. So far, I've only had good impressions of this court."

if one chose to ignore the fact they've all lost their powers.

"Shaken up pretty badly with this cool new thing called no-magic that had just landed. I'm sure you've felt it, too. That wipe in your bloodstream, like... there's a layer of steel between you and you - the body that is immortal and sentient and pretty, and the soul that holds everything else ; magic and power." Anaya chatted. It wasn't like she was unphased by it - she just did not want to panic or wail in public.

"How are you holding up with this, though?" she asked the apothecary of her court.

ravi doesn't even ask, just quickly scoops up a bit of the nuts from her hand to eat immediately with a wide smile on his face as she looks back at him, furrowing his brows at his neice's last words, placing a hand on his chest. how sad. "...and you found that in...chestnuts...? oh babe, we gotta smuggle you out more. trust me, there's so much more to enjoy." what did ravi think about the whole ordeal all of prythian was in? well they were currently too busy smoking and or drinking since they landed so they didn't have to think about it. it was like the mother herself was cackling down at them, knowing that the very reason they stopped caring about not becoming high fae any time soon was because of the tragedy that struck their court 400 hundred years ago. "tell you what, your super cool uncle is sneaking you into the forbidden parts of the palace to see what other unknown shit we can find, 'mkay? sure, there'll be a lot of artifacts and things to read and such but maybe we'll find something worth it, right? if it isn't cool, why go through the trouble of hiding, it right?"

THERE HAVE BEEN MANY THINGS SHE'D LOVED ABOUT HER CHAOTIC UNCLE, BUT HER FAVORITE THING ABOUT HIM - IN THIS MOMENT, THAT IS - WAS PROBABLY THE ETERNAL READINESS AT GETTING HER INTO TROUBLE WITH HER PARENTS. It wasn't like her parents every truly scolded her ( she knew Ravi would never get her into true trouble - just some innocent mischief ), at least not for long.

no one was immune to the pout of repentance.

At the mention of the forbidden parts of the palace, Anaya's grin widened and she all but squealed in delight. "Oh, oh, do not threaten me with a good time! I am supposed to stay out of trouble while we gouge this new court and, need I remind you, you too should stay put." she feigned restraint, though in her mind a decision had been set.

"However, no one said we can't be curious, in fact! I think curiosity about Starlight is very encouraged, so... please! Lead the way! We can raid their library or their pantry! I'm sure they're holding off all the good wine for themselves."

ANAYA COULD, TECHINCALLY, UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE WAS SCARED AND DISTRUSTFUL. Sure, having an entirely new court spring up from virtually nowhere, wasn't an easy pill to swallow, but they just had to play the cards they were dealt with. She, for one, would love to go exploring this novel, exciting court.

Finding herself in the beating heart of every living place - the market - Anaya drunk in the new sights that surrounded her ; the people, the vendors, the trinkets and foods. Everyone seemed happy - unphased by whatever it was that had plagued the fae in Winter court ( and the rest of Prythian that had been in attendance ). They did not even seem to mind the sudden downpour of foreign fae.

their ruling family must be treating them so well, to be this smiling and welcoming.

Stepping close to the food stall, Anaya eyes the various fruits, fried goods and stews that were sold in wonderfully ornate, terracotta bowls. Purchasing a small bag of roasted chestnuts - in wintertime - was a delight, instantly brightening up her day. As she turned around, facing a familiar figure, the lady of Spring smiled widely.

"Can you believe there are still chestnuts here? Usually I have to have them imported from Autumn court at this time of year. I thought they'd be the solar court, so they would still be in winter, but their climate seems... moderate." she chatted, adding, "I have made a conscious decision to find something I like about this court other than their stars."
