okay so, firstly, i think Galar generally has pretty good security overall seeing as the worst they have is Team Yell. Even then, they’re hardly villains, they’re just some people who are supporting Marnie. Even when they do commit some crimes along the way, that’s just how it be.

However, if there was an invasion like that, the gym leaders for one would be on it. I think the authorities and stuff would be a bit :// about the idea but it ends up being the best way for them to get control of the situation.

The team plasma grunts go everywhere. they don’t just start in one place, they’re sent all over the shop. It’s not easy to take them down for the leaders since there’s only one of them and multiple grunts but they manage it, especially Raihan who’s well versed in double and triple battles. They don’t go down without a fight. People are told to stay indoors, keep their pokemon close by. The gates are shut to Hammerlocke, the shutter is pulled down on Spikemuth. No one gets in and no one gets out.

The leaders are serious too, like Milo goes easy on gym challengers because they’re generally weaker than him, but these people? He goes all out. As i said, it’s not easy and they don’t do it so effortlessly, but their pokemon are strong and their need to protect the region takes over. Piers even gets involved, but that’s because he doesn’t want Marnie in on this, Opal is involved because she may be 88 years old but she has been waiting her whole life for someone to try her like these team plasma grunts.

Ghetsis, seeing his side losing, loses his mind. From what I’ve read, he seems...unhinged?? Like he fully threatens to kill the player character because they beat him by telling Kyurem(? i think??) to impale the player with icicles. like bruh. are u good. who hurt u. pls get some help and stop threatening kids.

Now, because he’s a scientist, he’ll likely have worked out some way to keep Kyurem dynamaxed like you said. He’s so confident in his ability to take over that he takes on all eight gym leaders at once. deadass like a max raid except it’s higher stakes. He’s smug right up until Kabu’s centiskorch has given a last G-Max centiferno(? i cannot remember the name of that move rip). He’s arrested after that, the authorities take care of things from there. There’s damage and destruction throughout the region but everyone is safe now, though things take a while to return to normal. 

The leaders are praised for their bravery, though they see it as their duty. People look up to them, they can’t let them down.
