Early sunsets over Monroeville
He walked out of the federal building, hand shoved in his pocket angrily. The damn fools had fired him. But he can't let that overcome him, it's getting late and he had to get home.
The dome didn't black the stars completely, just enough for the mind to wander what they looked like and the soul to long for the primal pleasure to see them.
He stopped, looking back at the task at hand. It was getting really late, he had to be careful for the gangs that would want his head.
As this thought passed his mind, three men walked on the opposite side of the street started at him.
*Crap, I knew I shouldn't have sat there like a fool with his tongue out wandering about what might never be.*
And it didn't help that he was wearing the federal uniform over his rubber. And his rubber had blue stripes.
He glanced at their rubbers, they had red stripes. Great, this has gone from bad to worse.
Reds where the rival gang. And he was Blue.
They came at him, high with anger and a pring of revenge.
When they where right in front of him, they stoped.
They looked at him with anger and tension there dim faces like they are looking into the eyes of a ghost.
"The father was pronounced dead an hour ago" the smallest said. He was slender and lanky.
"The new father said to hunt down any blues we see, the old father was hurt in a fight in new town"
And with that he pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the abdomen. The other two held the bleeding man down while the third proceeded to cut his hair off, a sign of disrespect.
He was screaming and thrashing out of pain, they dragged him into a nearby alley and stripped him of his rubber and coat that would make it harder to cut though him.
Regardless of his constant thrashing and peircing screms, the men just continued to cut though him like he was a piece of prime meat, all the while his attackers muttering,
"I'm sorry, please be quiet."
After the deed was done they left his body there like some trash on the corner, he looked up a as he was dying, the sun was setting and the stars where our with the sun together, it was beautiful.
He wouldn't get home tonight.
