Little head canon before sleep

The operator gets into drawing as they have more time now that the drifter usually takes on a lot more missions in their place, and having travelled back to 1999 they pick up a sketch pad and some coloured pencils from one of the prize stall in the arcade for the kid.

The drifter has the hex as their found family and devils triad and of course the kid, but the kid has so few to count on.

Now umbra walks around the ship when the operator is asleep/ away.

The operator draws a few pictures and falls asleep whilst drawing because they can relax a bit more. Umbra comes to pick them up to put them back in their pod, when he notices the pictures.

and on the back of that picture a tiny message in the bottom corner that the operator planned no-one to see written in pencil:
