Flip Flop User - A Flip Flop Daily Review

Sanuk flip flops seem to be everywhere these days with a wide range of styles with fun names. When I picked out my pair of Sanuk Sidewalkers I wasn’t excited. Their too-wide footbed made them seem oafish and the linoleum floor black, white, and gray mottled pattern didn’t help things much. But I needed flip flops to review so in the basket they went. What followed was a surprisingly fun-filled, easy going, and completely comfortable adventure.

Can I Drive in Flip Flops? Let’s start with the good news: It is not illegal to drive in flip flops in the U.S. The bad news is that there are a few folks who have issues when driving in flip flops. Usually due to their flip flop getting caught on either the brake or accelerator pedal and impeding their ability to stop in time to avoid catastrophe. From my selection of flip flops to review, these stood out to me as the perfect pair for my pool-side endeavors. Their classy black and white stripes shot out simple, yet stylish vibes to passerby. In terms of looks, these flip flops are ones that every girl should have for that surprise beach day. Not only does it look classy, but it also goes with pretty much any bathing suit you could possibly own. (That’s the beauty of black and white.)

I felt strange wearing these. They weren’t necessarily uncomfortable, but I wouldn’t choose to wear them. Kind of like that hoodie your ex gave you that you keep in the back of your closet – it looks and feels fine, but you just kind of don’t want to wear it… maybe ever again? I kind of got that vibe. They’re just not the kind of flip flop you’d wear to impress a date.

Summer friendships often live longer in memory than in reality. The impact of these dozen or so weeks can be greater than the sum of the events of the rest of the year or that of several years combined. There’s just something special about days filled with nothing to do except live and enjoy life. Everything aligns during this time: the weather, time, and with time, freedom. Freedom to do whatever, with whomever is available. This sort of opportunity comes around rarely in life and usually ends once the responsibilities of work and family replace that of school and study.

These flip flops would work at a beach party or a trip to the grocery store but they’re uninspired and not great to wear. This means that they’ll be worn a few times and then left in the closet forever. If they were completely bland, they may survive but the fact that they’re not pleasant to wear dooms them. The fit is loose and cheap, like wearing plastic shoes that are a bit too loose. If only the styling of the straps aligned with the shoe below them. Unfortunately, the cheap bulkiness of the footbed outweigh any style points offered by the straps

They owned the market. Everyone wore Dockers slacks, a button up shirt and some sort of loafer to work; glad to be free from the suit and tie. Which hints at the challenge of Dockers.
