Katniss Everdeen

❝ yeah. yeah, it has. ❞  the sight of her, cracks his lips. but the sound her voice, reminds him why he keeps backing here in the first place. and something in his chest starts to ache even as he replies with a smile.  

       dean winchester is a lot of things. a hero. a martyr. broken. smart. kind. loving. damaged. he’s got a heart of gold under thick calloused skin built up with years of war and hurt.  he’s a lot of things, yeah. but dean winchester is not a good liar.  

       not to her, at least.  how every twitch of his lip is noticeable, every tremor in his hand. and that smile, all but fades completely; and she stills her hand, the very one that wishes to reach out and ghost over the curve of his jaw. to tell him it’s okay that he’s been gone. because a hunter’s life is hard.  but instead her hands gather in her pocket.
