Recently I was thinking a little about my own drawings vs some other folks' work. I realized why their stuff seemed more interesting than mine on average - I'm primarily animation-minded. Nothing I draw or create is truly my intended work unless it's MOVING!
I started drawing thanks to Flipnote Hatena, the very first drawing I made seriously was an animation. It only makes sense. My favorite things I've ever made are animations, and they're pretty timeless in that I love them far longer than my still drawings!
So out the window with a minor insecurity, out the window with trying to draw like someone I'm not!
ANYWAY here's a rough doodle I did for conceptualizing some layout stuff for that game I'm NOT going to make because I have another project to launch first! :D
