“That’s right. I’m highly empathetic towards everyone. I have this very annoying habit of caring for the people around me. It’s rather the only bug in the system that would otherwise allow me to live alone without any problem. Isn’t that a shame?”

“No, I don’t have a name! You can call me Twice. He/him will do just fine, in case you’re wondering about that too. It’s a pleasure to meet you. I never want to see you again! Would you mind if I asked for your name too?”

“I don’t think it’s that strange at all! It’s important to know who someone is when you’re getting to know them better, right? Just making baseless assumptions of who someone is just by their appearance can be really hurtful. So I try my best to ask beforehand whenever I can! As for the reason.. It’s nothing important! It’s.. like a promise I made with an old friend.”

Okay, this power is definitely something to investigate further. Mysterious. Alluring. Weirdly arousin- Oh, come on, Travis, don’t screw this up immediately! 

“’Robin,’ huh?” Travis says with a cheesy wink, trying to hide the slight blush from before. Again, weird. “I like it! You can call me Travis! Travis Touchdown! And you…” 

“Oh, You don’t know the fucking half of it.” Causing trouble, inviting trouble… Daily routine for him. “What about you, huh? You been back here long?” 

How amusing. Not only was he trying to make a good impression, but it also seemed he was a bit nervous about it. Robin pays it no mind, but it is noticed even still. "Looks like I'll be seeing a lot of you then if that's anything to go by." Whether or not that'd prove to be a good or bad thing...had yet to be seen.

“Well, that’s a little difficult to answer. They’re both my true feelings! But before this gets more personal, I do feel I should ask you something. Not that I care if you answer either way! What are your preferred pronouns?”

“Yes, exactly. Though I can also understand why someone might be frustrated if they’ve never found love themselves and desperately want it. They’re just a bunch of crybabies at the end of the day! They have my sympathies.”

          ❝ That’s totally fair. Then… if you happen to reconsider, please know my offer for a casual date stands. Even if it’s something small, it’d be worth it. ❞

“Yeah, it’s a part of growing up. Living this life is to make mistakes and pick yourself up after. Problem is that many people here obsess over it, and most of the time it’s grown ups who should know better. I worry it could twist them.”

          ❝ Is that your way of saying not to try? Ouch. I was about to ask if you’d like to go on a date sometime, too. But a woman who knows what she wants and what she doesn’t is attractive and should be respected. ❞

“Being young is to be fired up for every little thing. It’s all wonderfully energetic. Watching almost brings me back to the good old days, if only they existed. Still, I fear some are going too far and only setting themselves up for pain.”

“Some people just aren’t built for relationships, I suppose. But their reactions are a little dramatic. Their complaints completely valid!”

This is definitely a first for Travis, in many ways. Aside from the obvious… arm coming out of his shoulder (which should feel so much weirder than it does)? First time any woman’s greeted him via handshake, let alone a woman as good-looking as her.

And it’s the eyes which finally jog his memory. Funnily enough, considering… Travis.

“Oh, yeah! Ms. Pirate, from the Halloween party!” He’s still shaking the hand. He doesn’t do this a lot.

"You do remember, then." She knows very well that memories can be very fickle, but it's good to see that she made a lasting impression. One enough to be remembered, at least. Yet another arm sprouts, this time on his stomach and proceeds to pat him on the head. She chuckles, decidedly having teased him enough at this point and does away with them, they're gone as if they never existed in the first place, now. "Robin, you can call me Robin. I never introduced myself properly back then."
