I feel like a broken record at this point x_x My activity is nonexistent due to complications at work. This time of the year I have two full time jobs and the seasonal job of mine is falling behind schedule which means I have to work even harder.
I hope I will make a full come back after the start of June when my extra job comes to an end. Sorry for making everyone wait for replies etc. but I will be back eventually!

I declare my exile from the internet to be over! I kept my online presence to the minimum to avoid any and all spoilers for Resident Evil 9. I finished the game today and it was so good! Going to play through it again soon-ish, but I will be more around here now that I don't have to be afraid of random spoilers.
I hope to get some replies done during the week!
It was still early in the morning.
Rain had stopped and the first light was just a faint glow in the horizon. Young runner was admiring the view from the balcony of an apartment that wasn’t her own. Her hair and clothes were still damp from the rain that had poured down on her during the last run. Faith was sitting on the railing as she breathed peacefully while enjoying a break during the climb to the rooftop. Below her the rest of the city was slowly waking up. She knew that the owners of the apartment would soon wake up as well and she should be gone before that.
“Wouldn’t want to startle you before your morning coffee, huh..” The runner muttered out loud before taking a look over her shoulder just to notice someone staring back at her through the glass door of the balcony. There was brief silence between the two separated by the glass before Faith spoke up again.
“..Morning.”

I'm back from my trip!
Going to take a little bit for me to get adjusted, rested and get my apartment sorted (I have to freeze my luggage in case of bugs, there was renovations that happened while I was gone so I gotta rearrange my flat etc.)... But I plan to do replies and hopefully continue Jill's story over at @starsescape this weekend!
I'm going for a longer vacation and I will be gone for a while! I won't be back until the 18th of February or later during that week.
After I come back I hope to be more active on this and my other accounts (@starsescape, @cafecyber etc.).
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst (2016)
The silence start to shift from comfortable to anxious, at least in Faith's mind. A simple question was enough to change the mood. Faith continue to watch Riley in silence as she imagine her to ponder what kind of answer she should give.
What she got was teasing mockery.
It was enough to make Faith laugh and smile. "Maybe?"
Faith continue to watch her. She simply couldn't take her eyes off Riley. It was difficult to determine what she saw her as. As a friend... With benefits? As a fling? As a lover? Whatever it was Faith often missed it when she was alone. She liked to spend time with her. She liked to be around her. It was good to be with someone.
And the things Riley did to her... It was good addictive.
Without thinking Faith reach for Riley's hand and took it in hers. "No, it wouldn't..." Her smile grew as she move until she straddle Riley and was looking down at her, pressing herself down against her. Just enough to tease her. "I didn't take you as someone who believe in God... Or the type who would care about what they would think." Faith chuckled as she caught Riley's eyes and took her other hand in hers as well. She intertwined their fingers. Gave a gentle squeeze.
"Besides... My lessons aren't free."
She rolled her head back, enough to let the cross on her necklace poke free from its cover under her shirt. "Not only am I a woman of God, I'm a respectable businesswoman. You're from the wrong side of the tracks, Faith Service. Our families would never allow it. Let's kill ourselves in a tragic 'n' dramatic irony, instead." Wholly casual about the sexually charged position, barring a certain physical response that she couldn't exactly help. Maybe she was gyrating back against the runner, but again. That was only natural. Hands on Faith's hips? Riley admittedly chose that.
"Alright, alright. Twist my arm. But maybe we can find a slightly more comfortable venue than concrete 'n' street noise? And a shower first? Pretty please?"
Faith smiled down at Riley as her eyes were drawn down to the cross that was poking under her shirt. She let go of Riley's other hand and moved hers until her fingertips touched the cross, conveniently giving Faith an excuse to rest her hand on her chest.
Faith leaned down until her lips met the cross. "I really love the way you talk..." She lingered. She fought off the urge to kiss her skin, her neck, eventually leaning back up so that she could look down at Riley again.
"And I'm a respectable courier... And..." Faith's lips parted to give way for a silent breath. She couldn't even finish her flirtatious lie. She felt Riley press back against her from underneath, then her hands moved up to her hips. She took it as encouragement to start moving. Faith started to grind herself slowly against her. Enough to tempt both of them, but not too much to resist.
"Riley Cross, after all that talk, are you asking me to come over to your place? I thought our families wouldn't allow that." Faith tried her best to carry on with the dramatic flirting Riley had started, but she clearly had to think about her words more carefully. Grinding against Riley with an increasing pace didn't help her to focus either.
"But, yes.... A shower would be nice."
Faith's little hideout didn't have a shower. If she wanted to get clean it was either by visiting a friend, going to some public bath when it wasn't crowded or at night when it was closed. Being a wanted criminal had its downsides.

Going to write replies this weekend across all my blogs (maybe before if I have the energy)! I start a new job at the start of the month and I'm about to switch jobs again after this week, so I have been a bit overwhelmed with how fast things are going.

Faith gave Riley a glance when she sit down.
They shared a moment of silence, eating and drinking. Faith loved moments like that, when people just enjoy each others company in a comfortable silence. It was rare since so many people felt the need to fill the silence with meaningless small talk.
The runner couldn't help but to smile as she watch Riley eat and saw her reaction. So much for the complaints. After a physical exercise even the simplest food taste heavenly, being a reward for all the hard work.
"Oh, stop it..." Faith chuckled and turned to look away, not able to take the intense gaze Riley gave her. Even when she look the other way Riley could see how Faith briefly bit her lip with excitement. She seemed to get tense. She clearly wasn't ready for such a compliment out of the blue, yet she loved it anyway. It got her excited as well.
Riley's laugh seem to make her relax again. Faith breath out and smiled. "I have never been to Morris Arboretum. Its the place with the gardens, right? We could go there someday." It was just another casual suggestion for a date.
Faith fell quiet afterwards and took a sip from her tea.
Then she nearly spit it out. Just like it because it's big? And that wink to make the tease even worse. "N-No!" Faith blurted out with laughter. She shook her head with a wide smile. Okay, sure, it was a partially because it is big... But that wasn't the only reason.
"I.. I love the challenge of it." Faith answered. "It is so rewarding once you find a way to climb up and the satisfaction of pulling myself up to the very top is just... Nothing compares to that." She explained and then added the obvious part. "The view is the reward."
Another moment of silence. Faith finished her food and tea.
"Nothing..." She replied. She didn't have a courier run for today. "Would you... Like me to come over?" Faith suggested as she pull herself away from the edge and lay down beside Riley, turning her head to look at her. It was obvious what she hinted at.
"Mm." Because it's there, maybe. Some people liked the challenge, and the reward was to see something rare. Phones had mostly ruined that, Riley thought. Sure, it was nice to see the top of a skyscraper or the peak of a mountain, but you could get most of the way there with a nice enough photo of it. Without the peril, too. Even this mild height was giving her a bit of vertigo, and Riley had the advantages of an experienced tutor and a bit of supernatural how-to.
One eye closed, the hellspawn regarded Faith beside her.
"If I didn't know better, I would think you were suggesting we engage in homosexual intimacy -- outside of marriage, no less." It'd been only two days since her last meal. So it'd be nice, but not necessary. Needed to keep an eye on Faith -- girl seemed a little, lonely, maybe? (Maybe the life of a criminal left little time for connections.) Or more along on the opaque feeding track than most. Would be easy, easy, easy to push her further. That was the trouble. Nobody deserved to hollow out -- to be hollowed out. By her. Riley was, after all, a monster. "And I am a woman of God."
She let her head flop back, careless. "But I guess a bit of indulgence wouldn't hurt."
