Marble Sculpting:
A Glamour Goddessβ Guide to a Gorgeous, Chiseled Bod
Tip 1. When you feel good, you look good and When you look good, you feel great.
Itβs been my experience that the #1 key to a good workout and maintaining exercise discipline is wearing sexy, tight, stretchy βwork-outβ clothes. When you look good working out and you feeling good working out.
In my view, most work-out adviceβand by extension most work-out attireβis sterile, overly clinical and anatomical. The rise of athleisure, the basic two piece sets, the training regimes oriented towards achieving a very specific physicality all ignore the important components of why and how the mind and body finds enjoyment in movement and aesthetics.
In the popularized yet aesthetically sanitized, health advice space, this view privileges the stepwise, externalized experience of exercise and reinforces a fitness culture centered on competitive rigor and consumptive excess (i.e If you want to feel [x] or achieve attention from the opposite sex, buy more of [x] cookie-cutter fitness brand or follow [x] fitness guruβs exercise methodology)
Those desires are natural human instincts but the existing culture of fitness exploits them to the point of manufacturing deep insecurities and extreme reliance on external validation to the detriment of oneβs own self-regard.
My focus is to enlist the support of glamour to build an intrinsic (internally-driven) relationship to oneβs body from a holistic, spiritual sense.
A sense where every action involves a layered choreography blending the seen and unseen aspects of decorative, molding creative processes to compound the effects of mundane health practices and create lasting practices of bodily care and psychosomatic upkeep rituals.
I offer this advice to you as a woman whose physicality turns heads in even the most dimly lit rooms and among the hottest fashion scene in the world, have received countless praise for my unique style sensibilities.
Yet, this reality only emerged following years of inner cultivation. I always had an awe-inspiring body and great taste but it wasnβt until I recognized that for myself, and stopped externalizing my need for recognition, that suddenly my magnetism was amplified to a ginormous degree. People were stopping me on the streets of SoHo to gush over me.
This is to say, I donβt lead with my body and I donβt have to because my body leads with me. I inadvertently look amazing in anything I wear while radiating confidence and intoxicating appeal even when I aim for a moreβ¦tempered look on the day to day.
(now bear in mind, I enjoy working out in the privacy of my home so this is a sensuous feast for my eyes only)
If you have the ultimate aim of achieving a head-turning, chiseled body that you feel not only elevated in but spiritually and emotionally connected to, the key is to dress for your workout session as delicately and intentionally as you would dress in anticipation to make love with the person you cherish and desire most.
The photo above illustrates what I mean (all photo credits to pinterest) as I have a similar piece in my closet that I bought as a fun βgoing-outβ top. Nothing makes me feel more like a transcendent, captivating Goddess than gazing at my sweaty muscles flexing, contorting, and contracting in the mirror as I hit upper body in a tiny-teeny, red lacy halter top.
Exercise alone encourages the release of endorphinsβthose feel good hormonesβwhich already serves to bring you deeper into an embodied state, where you have greater somatic awareness through mechanical, kinetic energy manipulation.
I repurpose clothes I already have in my closet that makes me feel attractive and alluring. I take what already exists and integrate it into the deeply private transformational ritual of exercise, compounding the dopamine of sexual appeal with the dopamine of physical exertion.
I like to compound this sensual experience by layering this physiological activation (engaging my sympathetic nervous system and the subsequent βhighβ accompanying increased libido) with a visual activation.
Transforming the pursuit of health into a creative endeavor which calls in as much focus and devotional attention as one would need to chisel marble into a towering sculpture. I believe my body is a work of art which deserves as much.
