he  hadn’t  been  worried  about  his  missing  father  .   there  were  plenty  of  times  that  he’d  bury  himself  in  work  that  freddie  didn’t   see  him  for  a  couple  days  or  more  .   but  his  mother’s  phone  call  ,  now  that  had  worried  him  .  he’s  never  heard  her  so  upset  .   so  here  they  were  .   the  five  of  them  plus  his  mother  scattered  around  the  living  room  of  the  jones  household  .   ❛   are  you  sure  ,  ma  ?   no  one  at  city  hall  has  seen  him  ?   ❜   he  couldn’t  have  just  VANISHED  .

                               for         sometime,       her        husbands       been         acting        a         little      paranoid            but         sometimes            he’d        pass        it          off        as          being         tired          /          they       were          working        hard      to         pass        a        bill         for        the       sake        of        coolsville’s        future       but          there        were        some         shaded       figures        hiding           /            upset          about        his          decision,            frederick        worked        against          them       ,        even          if        it         meant        scaring        them           a        bit            /         thankfully,      her        son       wouldn’t       be      home           but        her        worries        escalate,             especially           after           her          phone            call.              he’s         fine          ma,          he’s        just          busy          /         okay       peggy        jones,          just        keep         yourself         busy            but            no          phone     call         . .        she        decides       to        visit           his        office           but           he           hasn’t           been            in.            /            she         called        them          all,            freddie         and           his           friends.                                        

         A PAST , WHEN WE WERE FILLED WITH DREAMS

“were you ever going to tell me? was any of it real? was this all just a game?” questions flood her mind, the isle’s queen left speechless and hurt after a fateful meeting with sheng’s father. and now sheng wants to know what’s wrong, why she is angry, why she seems to be angry with him. how does one tell the person they love that their heart is breaking because they finally know the truth…or at least what could be the truth. 

“i met with your father today.” uma speaks, and her voice remains even despite the inner turmoil. “he had an interesting story to tell me about certain plans that were made before he was hauled off to his prison cell.” she doesn’t want to repeat it, there’s too much wounded pride and broken trust for her to even think of putting what she has been told into words. “is it true? or was he simply telling me a cruel lie?” she questions, space remaining between them as uma keeps her distance.
