maggie raised her eyebrows in response to his thanks, taking a swig from her own cup. she didn’t move from her spot near the dresser, but she did look stiles up and down with no subtlety. he looked good, really good. good enough that she was tempted to climb back in bed with. “yeah, well you ruined my top so… “ her tone was teasing and her fingers played with the hem of the shirt. “i can take it off if its really that big of a deal.”

STILES CAUGHT ONTO HER GLANCES and set his cup back down on the night stand . he turned his body toward her and slowly rose up to stand , leisurely walking in her direction . he kept eye contact with her , a small smile on his face . when he reached her , he wrapped his arms around her waist , curling his fingers around the bottom of the shirt . “ or . . . i could take it off for you . ” he offered quietly . he gently began pulling the oversized shirt off of her frame , tossing it off to the side once it was separated from her . “ that’s much better . ” stiles claimed , dragging her closer by the hips .

Derek wasn’t exactly surprised Stiles agreed to dance with him but was more surprised with how Stiles took the iniative, being the one to grab Derek’s hand and tug them along onto the dance floor. Feeling those long, strong fingers against his hips in perhaps a slightly possessive hold as the werewolf noticed Stiles glancing at the people looking at them right now, almost as if the younger man was staking his claim on Derek. His breath hitching just a tad when his hips were dragged closer - their bodies pressed together as they started moving to the music, the build up of arousal obvious as their bodies moved together.

Derek’s own hands moved up Stiles’s back slowly, tracing every inch of the other and leaning his head down so their foreheads could press together, warm breath brushing Stiles’s lips and in a moment of pure instinct Derek leaned down and caught those pretty pink lips in a kiss. Slow and simple at first, but the grind of their bodies and the taste of Stiles made Derek deepen the kiss somewhat before dragging his lips away. “That was…a long time coming” He murmured, voice a little lower and breath a little heavier.

STILES TRIED NOT TO FOCUS TOO HARD on what was happening . it felt surreal to be pressed against derek in the way that he was . the two had always had a combative relationship , and stiles knew there was some attraction there . . . but he didn’t see either one of them ever acting on it . as the two continued their dance floor grinding , though , stiles found it hard to be lost in his thoughts . giving into his body felt almost natural , so stiles did just that , happily .

STILES SNUCK HIS HANDS UNDER DEREK’S TANK TOP , exploring his chest and back with his fingertips . stiles was slowly getting to be out of breath , growing excited from being so close to derek . when derek leaned in to kiss stiles slow , stiles couldn’t help but feel somewhat teased . the blend of alcohol and sexual tension was getting to be a bit much for stiles . as derek pulled away , stiles whined , wanting more from him , whatever he could get . “ you’re telling me . ” he responded breathily . he gently dug his nails into derek’s back , and brought his other hand up to grasp at his hair as he pulled him in for another kiss . this one was a bit more desperate on stiles’ end , maybe a bit sloppy . and when it ended , stiles felt himself getting hard . bringing his lips to derek’s ear , he suggested , “ maybe we should get out of here . ” with a falter in his confidence , he added , “ you know , if you’re cool with that . ”

“Just like a little sip,” She responded as her head rolled to the side to peer at him without actually lifting her head up. “I had a spill yesterday and then my emergency contact got arrested so I’m out of options.” Sila reached her hand out to him imploringly. “It won’t hurt, I’ve been told it feels good. Just like, lend your girl a vein.”

A LITTLE SIP ? the idea was oddly tempting to stiles . he had known her for a long time , and had always trusted her . but did he trust her not to kill him ? stiles would blame his next actions on curiosity . he had known plenty of supernatural creatures , and the ones that fell under the category of friend had never sought to harm him . stiles leaned toward sila , his body shaking from adrenaline and a bit of fear . “ only a sip . ” he said aloud , hoping for some reassurance .

“ask me in the morning.” was all kristian could answer as of right now. he hadn’t been in a serious relationship for the longest time nor did he even had the time to. he rarely even saw stiles when he’s in town so to be asked the question was difficult. relationships require so much more than just good sex and once in a while dates. its an emotional connection, “is that alright with you?”

IT WASN’T THE ANSWER STILES WAS EXPECTING . the hopeless romantic in him had expected kristian to pour his heart out to stiles , tell him he was all that he was thinking of . . . even if that wasn’t really the case for stiles . he did care about him and he could see himself being with him , but even he noticed the flaws in their situationship . “ yeah , man , that’s cool with me . ” turning toward kristian , stiles threw a hand over his chest , snuggling up a bit . “ does that mean you’re not kicking me out tonight ? ”

rough night? far from it, honestly. “was tired of sitting at home, no one wanted to go out so.” korain gestured his hand around as if to say ‘so i’m here’. “and you?” his smile stayed put even as he shifted. up and over a few seats, ko couldn’t help hit take the chance for conversation. and if he was going to fully embrace it he might as well plop down beside the other. “korain,” a hand lifted, smile growing as he looked at the other in wait.

STILES OFFERED A QUICK SHRUG . he wasn’t quite sure why he was here . he had just reached the legal drinking age last year and often found himself in bars since then . the hopeless romantic in him sometimes dreamed of meeting someone and spawning some whirlwind romance . “ makes sense. i — uh — guess i’m here to socialize , y’know , meet people and whatnot . i don’t get out enough , really . ” that was probably a lie ; stiles was making it sound like he was some loner , and that was pretty far from the truth . when korain sat next to him , stiles shifted so that his body language reflected interest with his feet pointed towards him . gripping his hand , stiles shook it and gave a polite nod . “ i’m stiles. well , that’s not really my name , but my actual one is kind of hard to pronounce . . . so , everyone calls me stiles . ”

maggie sighed, since when did fun turn into her letting some guy stay the night and not kicking him out in the morning. there was something there, even if she didn’t want to admit that. “i made you a cup, its on the nightstand.” why she had made him coffee was another question all together. its not because she had feelings for stiles, thats for damn sure.

PUSHING HIMSELF UPRIGHT , stiles sat on the edge of the bed . reaching toward the nightstand , he was happy to find the cup of coffee , still warm . “ thanks . ” he addressed her . he was dressed in nothing but his boxers and noticed maggie wearing his shirt . taking a tentative sip , he teased her , “ that’s my shirt , y’know . ” his tone was obviously sarcastic . in fact , he thought she looked better in it than he did . it was actually kind of hot seeing her in his shirt ; it felt almost intimate or domestic , perhaps .

Conner was trying to not laugh as the two of them struggled to move around the room. “Hell yeah its weird. You try not talking the lead for once.” He kept bumping into his roommate, but he was still enjoying himself too much to give a shit. “Doesn’t mean we gotta stop though. This is going to be a story we’ll be telling for ages.”

STILES TOOK HIS ADVICE AND LET HIM direct their movements . almost every time they bumped into each other , stiles chuckled quietly . “ is it gonna be a good story ? ” he murmured . stiles pulled him closer by the waist , which led to a bit more clumsiness , but it felt nice . “ how does the story end ? ” he inquired , curious to see what the other would respond with .

Derek recognized Stiles scent immediately. It wasn’t one he could easily forget, even if it had been a year or so since he’d seen the other since Stiles had left Beacon Hills behind him to go off to college. Derek was actually visiting the big city to see Cora and had decided to indulge himself a little bit and perhaps let loose, something his sister always told him he needed to do more. But once that scent hit, well…his night was definitely changing focus. His eyes catching the sight of Stiles long before the young man saw him. Stiles looked…older, his shoulders were more broad and his boyish good looks had simply turned into actual good looks and Derek couldn’t deny how much his eyes lingered. 

Thankfully he was able to look away and collect himself together before Stiles noticed him. Wearing a leather jacket, tank top and fitted jeans with heavy black boots was a rather typical look for Derek these days, finishing the rest of his beer for some liquid courage before looking back to Stiles when he felt the hand on his shoulder. Green eyes meeting Stiles’s own eyes as he turned back to look at him, a knowing smile on his lips as he took the other in and slowly set down the empty beer bottle. “Visiting Cora and enjoying a beer, nice to see you too Stiles” He replied over the music. He could try and say a thousand things right now, but instead Derek was about to act on impulse and make choices that he wished he’d made sooner with Stiles.

“And now I’m going to go dance…” He trailed off, large hand coming to rest on Stiles’s hip and leaning in just a little closer to ask against his ear. “Want to join me?”

STILES WAS FROZEN IN SHOCK . he hadn’t expected to see derek , but he had to admit . . . derek was looking really good . he could blame that thought on the alcohol , right ? stiles caught himself checking derek out , a bit obviously . he had done it many times before , but it felt different now considering the place they were in . there had always been tension between the two , thick enough to hit someone over the head with , but being in a gay bar shifted their current dynamic in a way that left stiles feeling uneasy . “ yeah , man . it’s — uh , nice to see you , too . ” there was some truth to that statement , but also some dishonesty . it wasn’t easy for stiles to be faced with his past in such an abrupt way .

DEREK’S OFFER SURPRISED STILES . his touch sent a shock through stiles’s body . there was a faint and incredibly sudden desire to be pressed against derek on the dance floor . stiles’s whole body was warm and he was feeling far less uptight than usual ; liquid courage was promoting a braveness in stiles . but when it came down to it , all he could do was meet derek’s gaze and give a simple nod . he grabbed derek’s hand and gestured toward the dance floor . making his way through the crowd , he pulled derek along with him . he saw a few guys staring at derek , and stiles became acutely aware that he was probably making people jealous . derek was admittedly gorgeous , and that warranted some stares . stiles could consider himself lucky for a moment . when the two reached a slightly less crowded area , stiles faced derek and gripped each hip , pulling him in so that the lower halves of their bodies were in contact . he began moving to the rhythm of the music .

STILES HAD FREQUENTED THE LOCAL GAY BAR as of late . it had been years since caitlin had inquired of his sexuality , and stiles had truly began to consider how exactly he felt toward the same sex . it had been a defining moment in his life — one that he was truly grateful for . he had made an effort toward exploring his sexuality since then . after a vodka-pineapple or three , stiles recognized a hulking figure leaning against the bar . the familiarity took him by surprise . is that ? it can’t be . . . approaching with caution , stiles gently grasped the man’s shoulder . when he turned , stiles was greeted by none other than derek hale . with a complete look of shock on his face , he immediately removed his hand from his shoulder . . . they had been there before , and stiles wasn’t about to get his arm ripped off . “ i — uh . . . derek ? ” with a pause , he inquired of the other , “ what in the hell are you doing here ? ” he shouted over the loud music . it wasn’t exactly graceful , but stiles was flabbergasted . it had been years since he had escaped all the magic bullshit , and he wasn’t exactly prepared for it to come rushing back to him in the form of derek hale .
