â In another bright peaceful era ;
The questions posed in return didnât exactly catch the prince off guard. Though they were something to think about. Ah, again, here was this otherworldly stranger making the prince think deeply about things. Which was not bad, not at all! Tettere enjoyed musing about this or that from time to time. It allowed his mind to break free of of the normal routines and thoughts, allowed him to think out of the box as the modern term went. What was most prominent in his mind now was that princely status that the other had brought up. Tettere hadnât even thought twice about it being stripped from him upon arrival. âI suppose the title has followed me my entire life, I saw no reason to change such now. Despite the circumstances.â
âThough, if a prince has people to rule over then no matter where he is, he can be a prince.â The royal in red chuckled a bit, lightly tapping gloved fingers to his chin. Despite what he had said, he actually needed these people to rule over. His brow furrowed at this thought, wondering if such a thing were possible here. It almost seemed a moot point to call himself a prince, but heâd rather suffer a curse than have such a situation thrust upon him. He almost shuddered at the mere thought but managed to contain himself.Â
The prince gave a long look around the village of Strength, sapphire eyes drawing in the sights of the huts, the scenery â everything was so different. Shaytan was right that here in Arcadios, nothing from their previous worlds mattered at all. Even if his brother was here and that well dweller, it did not mean he was home just from familiar faces being around him. Such a melancholy mood swept the prince then, a heaving sigh parting those royal lips.
However â
âYou would be correct, Shaytan.â Tettere never hid his desire for those things deceased. Even if it was considered strange, why should he hide such an important part of his character? There was nothing wrong with it! At least, not to him there wasnât. How could there be anything wrong with desiring perfection? Perhaps it was not so much so that he loved the dead as he detested the living. All of his lifeâs situations had lead him to such a preference. The dead were simply just so much more flawless! Which is what he relayed as an answer to the demon of flames. âThink of it what you will, I will not hide my tastes. I simply prefer those that do not longer draw breath. The deceasedâŚcannot betray you as the living would. They cannot harm you, abuse you, nor can they lie to you.â
Such a status-- that title was really nothing here in Arcadios since the 'Prince' had no one to rule over, hopefully he didn't believe that he reigned supreme over the Village of Strength because that would be rather laughable to a few people who placed their life here. Shaytan didn't care for how the blonde saw things with his title or what seemed fit; all these questions were just for thinking purposes. It seems questioning Layla's judgements had sent him to question everyone else's. It was interesting to hear that since the title was graced upon him ever since the world had conceived his existence that it would remain, even now.
"Are you still a Prince? Are the people you rule over, here?" Continuing, he closed his eyes as the words just left from his lips. It was still a wonder that the way he spoke and disregarded how rude he may sound to people that he wasn't mocking. It was only the simple truth of a statement that needed to be answered.
It was rather endearing to await what replies he could give, it seems there was no way the male will folly such a title he has had for so long. Shaytan wouldn't blame him for no one who lived the life and knew of the luxury would give up that easily, that would make the one opposing the fact an idiot in some way.
Hearing the ideals about a deceased person in which rest their souls, Shaytan gave a small heave of a sigh. If Tettere had met Thanatos-- he would understand how much of a lie those words were.
"The deceased use to be apart of the living and the living were nothing more than deceitful inhabitants." Everyone else was swallowed by greed or some insane pride they conjured up, "Do you believe that when they died, they were cleansed of their falsities? Or is it that because the deceased are under the living, that the living is the only one that can place abuse among them?" The Living was one step up on the chain of life and to know that Tettere was a Prince made this statement double in value. Shaytan wouldn't doubt if that Princely status and being the higher up from the dead went to his head long enough to make him see beauty into the dead. "But do what you will, your interests hurt me none."
