misfire
Setsuna doesnβt miss.
Itβs the one thing sheβs proud of. Sheβd always been good with archery, the only thing in life sheβd ever been good at without intense failure first. The second a bow had been placed in her hand, sheβd made the shot, again and again and again.
Not making the shot meant disappointing Hinoka. She wouldnβt let that happen.
Except now Setsuna was standing with her bow in hand, frowning as she watched the horses scatter around the grounds. She was fairly certain sheβd watched one wander off towards the market place.
How had that happened anyways? Her shot had flown, and then it bounced, and then there was a loud clang and a lock dropping andβ¦She shook her head. Oh well, no sense worrying in that now.Β
β¦she should probably do something about the escaped horses though. Maybe.
Garreg Mach was, to put it frankly, a lot to take in. Left and right, people Hinoka knew throughout the war, people she saw die, people from other continents that sheβd swornΒ were from the stories Mikoto read to her as a child. Many things Hinoka had previously thought impossible, Garreg Mach proved wrong. And now, here was one more.Β
That familiar twangΒ of Setsunaβs bow, the last time sheβd heard it fire at the end of the war, yet still, somehow, the queen felt reasonably sure it was her former retainer.Β
Horses stampeding through the grounds laid any doubts to rest.
βSetsuna!β As she calls out, one horse nearly topples Hinoka, but the queen manages to reign the poor thing in, patting itβs neck reassuringly within moments.Β βHow exactly did you manage to set all these horses free? Ack - first, we should probably round them up, shouldnβt we?β
