Fitting Room of Shame!

So I work at Target, and I had to help this woman carry 20 large bags of cat food into her car. When I asked her how many cats she had, she responded with:

“The first 25 have names, and the rest just come and go.”

And then she proceeded to tell me:

“You are such a nice young man. You would make a good cat.”

Ugh. So my store puts out and sells a super high volume of clothes during the summer time, since we’re a seasonal area. And since we have literally SO MUCH, we cannot give out hangers. During the winter, when we don’t sell much, we’re allowed to give customers the clear hangers but even then the limit is two. During the summer, we’re not allowed to give ANY hangers, what so ever.

And people (little old ladies in particular) get so annoyed and pissed about it, my god. Sometimes they say “Can I have the hangers?” but more often they say “Oh, and I need all the hangers.” and of course I have to politely tell them that, no, they cannot have any hangers at this time. Ugh, and they are always like “Why not?!” or “I’m ALWAYS given the hangers in Florida!” or “But I just got some the other day!”.

I had a lady (after getting snippy being denied hangers) tell me that someone had given her some hangers this morning and I bluntly said to her “Well who ever did that was not supposed to.”

Blue Vest employee here. Not just at my store. Seems to be that people leave their carts everywhere. Like in front of the exit

Or leave them in front of my till

Or Leave them blocking the courtesy desk

Or Dont park their motor carts, leaving them dead for us to park.

If you do this in MY cosmetics aisle that I work so hard to maintain, I WILL hunt you down and make you clean it up ALL THE NAIL POLISH! This goes for foundation as well! Don’t smear it all over the shelving fixtures!

Seriously people, don’t be an ass hole and do this. If you wanna see what the color looks like, test it out on your nail, not the shelving fixture. Painting it on your nail will give you a WAY better idea of what the nail polish is going to look like on your actual nail!

You don’t realize how hard it is to clean them up. A lot of the time (all of the time really), the nail polish eats away at the plastic and to my horror, a lot of foundations do as well.  When that happens, I have to replace the entire fixture.

If I’m lucky, I’ll only have to replace the clear film, but even that doesn’t cover the entire front of the shelving. And people are sloppy.
