Like, I think it's pretty clear he's been desensitized to a ton of shit. Falling into the toy equivalent of fucking lava and then being forced to participate in a massacre would probably do that, especially to a kid who can't be older than like 8.

But I think instead of him being constantly sad or scared, I think he should get to go apeshit crazy during the hour of joy. I think he shou!d get be stronger than Matthew most of the time.

What if he swings wildly between moods? What if he sees the deaths of "bad guys" (employees/scientists) as funny or a good thing, but the deaths of his friends and other innocents as horrible tragedies that can send him into spirals.

I see his optimism throughout the game as very bleak(?) I don't think his optimism comes from hoping things will get better, but rather the acceptance that it never can. If everyone's gonna die anyway, why shouldn't we have fun?

I think killing people wouldn't really phase him. Hell, I think he'd enjoy it to an extent. Let my boy take some pride in his extremely grotesque work!

I think that's his actual role as Doey. Matthew deals with outside stimuli and emotional restraint, Kevin is their brain and brawn, and Jack is the cynical optimism, the one with nothing really holding him back without the other two.

Kind of unrelated, but I also think Jack would reeeeeally fuck with Insane Clown Posse lol.
