"hey, is everything alright?" isaiah finally caught up with them, "i haven't heard from you for a bit—you know, since that night."

As it turns out, Buck was horrible at the whole avoiding game, and it didn’t take long for Isaiah to catch on. “What? Yea, yea everything’s good, just been busy.” It wasn’t a lie, but it wasn’t exactly the truth either.

“Okay, awesome! I’ll see you there!” Buck internally cringed at his over enthusiasm.

"I'll see you there, yeah." He nodded, unable to stop from chuckling at the enthusiasm. "I'll be the one looking like me."

As it turns out, Buck could clean up very nicely, having borrowed a suit from Bobby, his hair done. He didn’t usually pick over the top places, but he was owed a favor by the owner. So, he sat at a table near the back of the room, waiting for Landon to make his way over. Hopefully he wouldn’t get stood up.

".. and i kid you not, her drink was green and she said it was a latte?!"

Buck was confused at least eighty percent of them time, with Nash though? He was confused all of the time. “Isn’t that just a matcha latte? You know, green tea with milk, oat, almond or coconut?” Even when he felt like he knew something, Nash always made him feel like he was second guessing himself
