I see the end of the finale as nothing more than a platonic sisterly bond between two girls who have found comfort in the other's friendship over the years.

You know what, I'm so salty about the ending. I'm so annoyed with Bryke. Why put Makorra scenes with lingering glaces, use definitive words like 'Always' or have him go to Zaheer's prison with her had there been no intention of getting them back together or implying something more than platonic subtext? I wouldn't have minded had Korrasami actually been built up over time with clear cut intentions of them being a couple and not subtle hints that could be seen as platonic, but it wasn't.

YUPPP. and what’s worse about it is that in the finale they wrote the makorra that we expected. SELFLESSNESS, THAT WAS THERE. We knew that was part of their story, and Mako sacrificed himself for this, and then dedicated his life to her practically, and they shoved all that aside, and it’s completely unfair….and even aside from shipping her relationship with Mako and Bolin is entirely pushed aside, she APOLOGIZES TO ASAMI FOR NOT WRITING AND SHE WROTE TO HER WHAT IS THAT THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE THIS MAKES NO SENSE
