They eventually decide on a simple white polka-dot dress, red cardigan, white socks, and brown shoes, happily examining the look in the mirror. It wasn't the fanciest look they've ever worn, but they felt cute.

She thought about it for a while, and eventually decided a picnic would be good. It was chill, and it would be just the two of them! Suki prided herself on the idea before shooting Kimi a quick text.

Just like Suki, Kimi was also rather surprised that the confession went the way that it did. Even if she still didn't understand much of what it meant to have a partner or dates or anything of similar meaning, she wasn't going to complain. Especially when she had Suki to help her.

Speaking of which, Kimi had simply been reading on her bed when Suki had texted. They put their book down beside them, reading over the text. A faint warmth spread across their cheeks and they felt their heart beat faster, but they knew what it meant now. And it wasn't as worrisome of a feeling as before.

Right. When was it free for a picnic? It briefly closed the messaging app, scrolling over to its calendar before reading over its schedule. It was actually free that afternoon, surprisingly! Now, to text Suki. . .

Suki sits up and starts getting ready, putting her hair up into a side pony and securing it with a bow. She worked quickly on her makeup. Then, once the right time came, she practically ran out the door, bringing a bag of strawberry sandwiches and some other snacks. The blanket she brought was basically shoved in.

When she makes it there, she lays the blanket down on the grass and simply waits for Kimi, fidgeting a bit with her legs.

That was one time! And it was for the photo! No other reason.. That was the world's worst lie ever told, but he didn't pay too much attention to it. He was trying to defend himself, after all!

The offer to see more of Kira's tattoos, though.. Lord, Reo could not resist. ..Guess I'm pretty lucky, then~ I'm holding you to it. I wanna see.

Reo's mom comes back after wiping her hands off with a towel, sitting down again. Well, is there anything else you'd like to know, Kira? Hopefully I'm being a decent host. I'll admit, I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to do when I'm meeting my son's partner..

Sure~. No other reason at all~. Kira replies teasingly, still leaning against Reo. I distinctly remember someone making comments on how thankful he was that I wasn't an idol because of them. She giggles, obviously having fun with this.

And yes, you ARE quite lucky, prince~. And you know I keep my word. You'll see them. Don't worry your li'l head about it.

Potential date stories.. a lot of it was just taking each other to places that had significant value to us, especially when I first moved here and was still getting used to the environment. We still try to visit those places often, like a specific spot in a forest.

She shakes her head with a small smile. We weren't terribly romantic though. Just had picnics and would talk about everything under the sun. He actually proposed to me right there, too, right under that tree. See?

She then gestures to one of the pictures on the wall, her and her husband under the tree she had mentioned, Reo's father on one knee. But, I think the main thing is to go with your gut. Do what you think fits your relationship. I had a previous relationship that failed because every single date felt like it was being filled for some crappy movie. Terribly artificial. But I know some people like that, so it's really up to what you think works.

They oush those thoughts down, though. No use in thinking on them now.

You say you weren't terribly romantic, but that was so sweet and adorable! He happily gushes, smiling widening slightly. To be fair, the only big dates that we've done so far were to get materials to get my nose pierced and to a nice Ramen shop near my apartment. But, to be fair, that last one was before we started dating.

Reo chokes. Right, she was still his mom, she was probably gonna ask some slightly crazy questions. He could only hope they'd last that long, and that's based on his problems alone. ..Too early, ma.

Reo's mom just chuckles by his embarrassment. Questions for you? Hm.. not exactly, no. I just hope my Reo isn't too much for you to handle. I swear he runs on a motor sometimes.

Yea, they knew the question may be a bit early, just as Reo had said. However, it made them feel a bit better hearing she thought they'd stay together for that long. Maybe they deserved that happy ending after all.

Kira, you mentioned being in a band. Is that something you plan to do for a long time? I'm just trying to figure out what you like and such. Reo's mom speaks up, staring curiously.

Hehe, right? Aren't they just the coolest? Reo gushes with a smile, almost like he was bragging. He snaps his fingers. Yes, I remember! Don't worry, I'll be sure to design you something good. Wouldn't want to have something stupid on you for the rest of your life.

Hehe, I'm glad you think so~ Reo then notices where Kira was planning on putting the tattoo, and his eyes widened. Reo's mom chuckles softly. A-Ah, really? That's so sweet.. the pressure's totally on, now.

Ah, no worries, dear. Get home safe, okay? And sleep well. Having you over was a blast. Like I've said before, you're always able to come back whenever you want.

Reo gets up as well, waiting for Kira to be done gathering their stuff before gently kissing his lips. I'll see you later, okay? I love you. Thanks for coming over today~

Ah, damn it all. They might as well just ask. Worst she could say was no.

Reo chuckled. He knew Kira would probably want to stay with him.. though, he was a little nervous about the state of his room. Still, he looked at Kira, waiting for their response. There's definitely room for the two of us~ Don't look so scared, ya goof.

Buenas noches, mama! C'mon, you. And I get it, but it's not like my mom is a total warlord or something. Reo walks down the hallway with Kira's arm linked in his, opening the door to his bedroom and closing the door after.

The room was dark, only being illuminated by some neon pink lights he had kept around his room in an attempt to distribute it properly. His bed was right up against the window, the pink zebra-print blanket falling off the mattress.

The bathroom is right there, if you need it. Pretty neat how I have my own bathroom, huh? Reo points to the shut door in an attempt to divert Kira's attention. He quickly kicks some leftover bottles he had forgotten to clean up under his bed. Not like Kira would care, but.. still. He took another glance around, hoping there wasn't anything on his vanity or other surfaces.

Anyway~ I don't have a ton of things to do in here, admittedly. But I'm sure we can find something fun to do, if you're dying or boredom.

They took a look around his room once they made it in, quite the curious look in their eyes. They weren't sure what they were expecting, but they weren't complaining. That, and this fit Reo quite well.

Yea, it is pretty neat. And I'll probably need it to get changed in a bit. And I need to borrow some PJs too, if that's alright. Unless you don't mind me falling asleep in these pants. He gestures to his outfit, seemingly not noticing the bottles Reo kicks out of sight.

Reo nods with a hum, immediately looking for some pajamas for Kira to wear. I'll see if I can get something that fits you.. hm.. He took a random pair of plaid pajama pants and a black shirt, handing it to them. Try these.

Ah, yeah.. I get that. Just take it easy, okay? I'll let you. His voice is uncharacteristically soft, and it seems like he hardly even noticed the change. And, yeah! You don't even have to ask~ That way I can change too.

They look over the pajamas, happily smiling at the clothes they were given. Thanks, prince~. These definitely look comfy! They speak with a wider smile, hugging the clothes close to their chest.

I will, don't worry. Don't get swallowed by the toilet~ Reo jokes, chuckling as he's kissed on the cheek. He makes sure Kira is gone before starting to change too, putting his other clothes in the closet for now.

Though, now that he was alone.. he was getting antsy and fidgety. Kira was there, so he wasn't going to indulge in his cravings out of respect, but that thought didn't make the anxiousness ease any.

He cleared his throat and shook his head. I'm all done, it's safe to come out now!

Turning to the mirror, they grab some makeup wipes, quickly wiping their makeup off their face. Once it was off, they felt themselves relax slightly, even if their nerves were still somewhat high from all the stress of that day.

He shifts a little so he's lying against his pillows, moving his arm and inviting Kira to come closer. Here we go~ ♪

Reo hums as Kira slips into bed, bringing the blanket over them before carefully playing with their hair. Yep, all good. Don't worry, just relax, alright? Bed time for you. He snorts, cringing at his words. My God.

He sighed softly before trying his best to slip away without waking Kira up, looking around for a vape of his. He heads outside and leaves the door cracked open just a tad.

Reo doesn't take too long before coming back, repressing his cough as much as he could before hiding his device and laying back down, wrapping his arms around Kira and hoping to God he didn't somehow wake him up.

That, and the slight chill from the open door, even if it was just a crack, didn't help. They wanted to say something, ask what was going on, but they didn't want to upset him. Even if they were worried. . .

Huh? Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about it. He shakes his head slightly, still a little embarrassed by the fact he woke up Kira, as well as even needing to get up in the first place. But now that she was up, he could finally cough. Ahem.. anyway. Sorry for waking you.

Reo smiles at Kira awkwardly.

Prince. . . Please don't lie to me. What's going on? If you don't want to share, that's fine. . . But, you've done so much in comforting me these last few days, and I want to help. Even if not through talking, just holding you and listening.

He carefully ruffles their hair. Nothings.. nothings going on. Currently, anyway. I just get really antsy if I go a little while without. You know how it goes. I usually save my smoking sessions for nighttime, but obviously I wasn't just gonna whip it out in front of you, ya know? To me, that's crazy disrespectful. So I was like, "I'm gonna tough it out and it'll be fine". And obviously you know how that went.

As Reo talks, he finds himself to be getting more shameful and embarrassed. He sounded so pathetic. Maybe he was. He was just lucky Kira hadn't seen him drunk and sobbing yet. I know it's bad for me, I don't need the whole spiel. But.. it helps. Makes me feel normal. Less like a rabid animal, I guess. His gaze would then darken slightly, letting out a small, self deprecating laugh.

. . . I get it. The want to feel normal. And I'm not going to give you the spiel. With the amount of stuff I've gotten into, I'd sound like a real hypocrite. But, still, don't put yourself down, prince. Please.

..I'm glad. Thank you, Kira. He swallowed the urge to keep asking for reassurance, instead holding him tight and tangling their legs together. Even if he wasn't talking now, he kept Kira's words close to his heart.

Eh.. why not, huh? As long as you don't scream in my ear. Don't think that'd be very calming, unfortunately. But~ Take it away!

He hadn't realized it, but he was super tired too. The humming seemed to work wonders, as he had something other than his own thoughts to focus on.. and even though he wanted to compliment the music, he stayed quiet and eventually fell right asleep, a small breath escaping his lips.
