I see fire

He waited a few moments to see whether or not she realized it was him. When he didn’t get elbowed in the rib he relaxed and went back to giving her skin as much affection as he couldn’t without moving his head. Opening his eyes a little to see her tilt her head to give him more access to her neck, he let out a murmured noise of appreciation. That was until she lightly scolded him. The firebender let out a hot breath of air, a sign that he was a bit annoyed with her comment. 

Pulling back, Mako loosened his arms a little to allow her to move around but still have a hold on her. “Fine,” he huffed, letting out more hot air. Just as long as he got something out of it then he guessed he could wait a few minutes. Glancing around the bar, his gold eyes soon looked back at her and he asked, “What do you need to get done? I can do something to get it done quicker.”

Mako paused in the doorway to his partner’s office with his latest report in hand. The room was somewhat empty minus for a girl. She looked somewhat familiar though he couldn’t remember where he had seen before. Nonetheless, he cocked a brow at her for a moment before lowering it and narrowing his eyes a little. “Can I help you?” Doing one quick swipe of the room told him that Fergus wasn’t there, though he was certain he would know if the older man was. He didn’t recall his partner saying anything about visitor that day but then he guessed that maybe he wouldn’t inform him. He still had a feeling that Fergus didn’t exactly like him all that much.

       She moved aside so that the other teen could get off of the motorbike and then moved a hand into her mane of curls, “Yer mad at me, aren’t ye?” Merida questioned as she poked the golden eyed boy’s arm. “Oh well, ah’ll make it up tae ye,” And she could tell that he was mad at her with how he began to walk off without her. “Oh come on, dinnae be a baby aboot it.” Extending her arm she moved her hand to the others in hope to lace their fingers to show that she was only teasing. “Ye’ll thank me later.”

He merely glanced at her when she asked if he was mad at her. He wouldn’t exactly say mad but he was a little pissed he had to leave his bike behind and then once he was ready to go to his apartment come back and get it. When she said that she would make it up to him, he looked at her and cocked his head. “I’m not being a baby.” What about the way he was acting made her think that? Sometimes Mako wasn’t sure what ran through his girlfriend’s head. “That will depend on what you think will make this up to me.”

              “Dae ye know how dangerous those things are,” Says the girl that was thrown from a horse when she was little and still rides Angus at every opportunity. “I thought when ye said ye’d meet me tha’ we’d end up walkin’ or something,” She shrugged as she looked towards her boyfriend. It had been a while since it had just been the two of them – with how much she was studying and how busy he had been too, especially with his brother, but she just didn’t really like that bike of his.

Mako sighed and leaned his forearms on the handles of his bike as he thought for a moment. Well he certainly screwed up. If it was anyone else he would have pointed out that her horse was just as dangerous as his bike but he kept his mouth shut. Merida would get pissed at him for saying anything negative about her horse. “Fine,” he finally said and got off his bike. Locking it up so no one would take it, he jerked his head as he said, “Come on,” and began to walk in the direction of her apartment.

         “Hey,” She leaned over to peck him on the lips before straightening back up, “Thanks fer meeting me,” Merida couldn’t help but look over what was waiting for her after class. Not so much Mako, but, well what he had with him. “But if ye think ah’m getting on tha’ thing… well ye’ve got another thing comin’ tae ye.”

He returned the peck but furrowed his brow once she pulled away. “It’s not that far of a ride Merida.” It was maybe ten minutes at most as far as he knew. “Besides I don’t own a car.” All he had was his bike, and what was he suppose to pick her up in if he couldn’t use his bike? If she wanted someone else to pick her up then she should have told him so. Mako wouldn’t have bothered coming here otherwise.

“Nae chance,” The redhead furrowed her brow and looked over her shoulder at the probender. “Look I dinnae care if I ‘owe’ ye fer getting’ me this gig,” By gig of course Merida meant the fact he helped her get the job in the bar, “Ah’m not goin’ over there and spyin’ on them – if ye wanna know what the Wolfbats are up tae so badly do it yerself. I’m no’ yer lackie.”

That wasn’t the point. All he wanted was to know what Tahno was up to, more importantly why he was here. He didn’t consider that spying but if she did then he guessed he wasn’t going to get what he wanted. “You still owe me a favor,” Mako pointed out as he rested his chin on his palm and looked at her. And he wasn’t about to let her forget that.

             She grumbled under her breath. Mako would have just commented that her saying not to call her a Princess would be a ‘broken record’ too so she didn’t bother. However, when he showed her the paper bag full of apples her blue eyes widened and she was inclined to reach out to grab them. “Gimme,” She mused with a small whine as she then glared at him, “Ye wuid’nae dare. Pabu wuid’nae appreciate them as much as I wuid, Fire Boy.”

“Have you seen Pabu eat?” he asked as he raised the apples above her head just in case she reached for them. “I don’t think they’d be that under appreciated Princess.” Because the fire ferret seemed to eat just as much as his brother and that was saying something. “If I give you these then what do I get?” was Mako’s next question as he smirked a little at her. He knew he might have been pushing his teasing but he couldn’t it. She was making this far too easy and she was one of the few people he was actually comfortable with doing such a thing to. The other person being his brother but even that had a limit.
