100% Fi

Ah yes, Reimu and Marisa’s little lunar excursion. Everyone had heard about that, although quite frankly, not many really knew what happened during it.

“It sounds almost like a haven of sorts, then. … There certainly are curious places out there…” That last bit was more of a thought as she tapped her chin. She would like to go there, at least once. Alas, Alice knew such a feat was probably impossible.

That aside, she wonders if there’s any magic strong enough to transport people cross-dimensionally… well, it was certainly possible, wasn’t it? Those scientists had amassed so many people from so many places, after all. But, they hadn’t used magic… at least, that’s how it seems, given the nature of this highly scientific place.

Magic and science weren’t all that different in the first place anyways, though. They were surprisingly similar, in some aspects…

“You’re apologizing too much,” Alice exclaims, still smiling, “but you can speak to me as if I’m a human. To be fair, I was once human myself, and I still seem pretty human— at least, in my eyes I do.”

"I too have seen the powers of a god with my own eyes. Hylia programmed me herself. It is interesting to meet another who has experience with a god. I would be interested in hearing your description of him or her. It would be valuable information to add to my database."

Upon hearing that the woman before her used to be a human, Fi became further interested. There are many explanations for what may have happened, the most likely of them being death. She begins to wonder if perhaps this woman is a spirit trapped within her own post-mortem fantasy in which she is a witch and has met a god. She decides not to spend too much time thinking about it, however. It is irrelevant to the subject at hand, and would be rude to bring up at that time. Additionally, the woman does not appear as the spirits to which she's become accustomed, nor does she seem like the ones about which she's read. Using this information, she eventually concludes that there is a relatively low probability that her original hypothesis would be correct.

"Yes, of course. I will try to speak to you as I would to a human. However, I am not certain as to how my speech when speaking to you differs to how it would be were I speaking to a human. I will attempt to make my speech more familiar to you based on my research."

Fi accesses the information in her database and finds a phrase humans use frequently.

It was fairly clear to the girl that, by this point, there was no way Fi could have come from the same world she has… unless the Outside World truly was as mystifying as her explanation was.

She had never read of any Skylofts or Hylias in books— and the strange spirit before her even managed to guess quite accurately the same as Alice had surmised.

Quite the intelligent being. Even with her fluid motions, however, her speech certainly came as a bit heavy and inhuman.

It was not her voice, but the way she went on. There was certainly emotion in Fi, however.

At least, it seemed like there was.

“… You’re right. There’s no way we could have come from the same worlds— I’ve never even heard a tale like that before…” She taps her chin for a moment. “Skyloft… a civilization in the sky… how fascinating…”

The very idea sounded… not as far-fetched as it may seem. And also, it sounded rather pleasant.

Judging on the way the girl is looking at her, Fi also assumes that she could be thinking about Fi herself. She is not sure about what she would be thinking—in her own head, her way of speech is completely natural, and no one mentioned the stiffness of it prior to her coming here so she just assumed it was a difference between universes—but the possibility of that being a thought in her head assumes the majority of the remaining percent.

She remains staring for a few seconds until the girl spoke again. She agrees with Fi's sentiments, then comments on the fascinating nature of Skyloft.

"Indeed. Skyloft is definitely a fascinating structure. I cannot comment on the details for I am unaware of them, but my database indicates that the reason for its floating has to do with the powers of the gods."

"I am not curious as to the specifics of your situation, but I do not wish to pry. However, I apologize again if I offended you with any of my practices. While my research indicated common practices when it comes to human interactions, I did not find anything explaining youkai interactions. Nor did I find anything explaining magician interactions."

Ask the character/mun: Ask the muse whatever you want for them to answer IC; or ask the mun a personal question to get to know better or to get an OOC answer [although we would like to keep these at a minimum]!

Truth/Dare: Be reasonable with the dares! If you start getting ridiculous no one will want to do them; characters aren’t really obligated to do all the dares they receive. Don’t forget about the truth part as well!

“At any rate, there’s no need to apologize. It’s simply my fault. … I’ve no need for knowledge on your inner workings anymore, don’t worry.” What a… very specific percentage. One percent away from 100, eh? That was almost a bit insulting, but then again, Alice had little knowledge of how to tinker with machines.

That sort of stuff was best left for the Kappa, or whoever else.

"I apologize for the mistake. I will no longer refer to you as a human, Miss Alice. However, the fact that you are not human causes me to wonder what you are. Please do not feel pressured to respond. It is simply my curiosity showing itself."

It is very fortunate that Alice need not see her inner workings anymore. That fact makes the probability of death due to experimentation near negligible. At least when it comes to experimentation by Alice.

Knowing very little often meant you knew quite a lot. The lack of what someone might say can mean as much as a tale of a thousand words. It was about the depths, the hidden messages, the signs and all of those small fractions which ultimately added to the making of the grand design. Each fact was a piece and each question positioned those facts to assemble the fuller picture. That was how it worked, anyway. Within the BAU team too, this idea was literal, with maps and images spread out upon the table as a visual display of the puzzle, most people appreciating the information being displayed in such a manner. 

As for the scenario before Reid, he had a few facts, but he knew that ultimately there was too big of a picture for him to draw up so soon anyway. There were talks of universes for a start, as well as beings that were not quite human, yet far too advanced to be anything created, in his world anyway. Whilst the thrill of something new was ever present in the back of his mind, there lingered a notion of fear. Fear of the unknown, as really this was nothing like the cases he’d come across before. This seemed more X-Files than his sort of work.

“Thirty-eight percent you say? And what basis do you have to draw such a conclusion from anyway?” His arms had folded tightly across his chest and his tone had adopted a rather snappy element, though that was mostly due to the frustration of both his headache and the pending dilemma. It was clear by both his attitude and body language that he was fed up. Though, really he was more curious than annoyed. Whatever A.I being he had stumbled upon, they seemed far more informed of the current situation and whilst there was no harm within the hallway, he would question its knowledge.

"...the other members of our research team have managed to construct a machine that can transport matter from one universe to another! More specifically, we’ve taken you from your universe, and put you in ours! ... From now onwards, you’ll be living in a simulated city we’ve prepared just for this experiment, with all the other participants we’ve brought over! Those were some of the words spoken by the man in the video."

She believes that should be sufficient enough information to explain both the reason why she mentioned the video in the first place, as well as why she believed the chance was so low that they were in their original universes. However, in order to further clarify, she decides to explain further.

"The statements above are the first reason why I believe there is a high probability that we are no longer in our original universes. In addition, there is the fact that many species I've seen here are foreign-looking to me. What this city's library describes as human encompasses only a small percentage of what are considered humans in my world. In addition, the majority of humans whom I have encountered have pointed ears, although I am aware of various round-eared variations of the race."

[A portal between two universes? Well… If such a thing were to exist……It’s highly improbable that there would be any chance of success.]
