I learn how to draw

The Θεια Κρίση, my mech in an upcoming game of Lancer This was just a quick scetch and so not what I normally do that I don’t feel like I should judge myself too harshly for it (also I haven’t drawn anything in almost a year). Obviously lines are too hard and I still can’t draw swords (what not drawing for a long time didn’t magically give me the ability to draw sowrds who would have thought)

First time I drew a character for the second time and... eh. The shoes could be better, the arms are kinda weird and the legs are just all kinds of screwy. I couldn’t remember how I did her skin color last time so now she looks a bit different which also kinda bothers me. Her six-pack looks a bit too small and that line there is supposed to be a scar which kinda doesn’t look right.

This turned out really well! I tried something else with the nose and I like it. The wand and the dagger could be better, but apart from that, wow, I really like this. Oh, and the hands could also use some work.

I tried something different for the nose for once, I don’t like it. The pose and the head shape are kind of weird. I like how the sword and sickle turned out.

Don’t really have much to say. It being 3 am might be one reason for that. I am glad to have drawn something again for once.

My first non-humanoid (Well, not in D&D terms but whatever). The lack of humanoid features removed most things I usually screw up (noses) and the fact that there’s very few official Kraul art that all widely differs gave me a lot of freedom with the design. Overall mostly happy with it. The only thing that really bothers me is the lower body. I wanted it to look a bit like the body of Mazirek, but I am not very experienced with perspective so it looks more like a messed up 7th limb.

I honestly have no idea how I got the idea “Hey I should draw my character’s mother” but here we are. Don’t know what to say that I haven’t said a lot already. Better nose, better shading (especially the breasts). You can’t see it in this picture but the drawing is ridiculously small. All in all, pretty alright drawing.

All that aside, I am, again, proud of this. I think I am the first person who ever drew her. And I think this is good enough for me to use it in my upcoming homebrews. Considering "I want to save on commission money" was one of the reasons I started drawing, that's a bit of a milestone.

Tried to do some background stuff this time. Didn't really work out. Apart from that, I am pretty happy with how this turned out. The tatters also could have been better.

Not happy with how either of the swords turned out. Aanish’s is supposed to radiate divine light, instead, you barely see anything. Vaaloth’s is supposed to be flaming, instead, it looks like I’m bad at coloring. I am definitely getting better at noses and hands but I still have a long way to go. Their eyes are supposed to be pure white but thanks to their skin being close to pure white, there’s no contrast so it doesn’t really work (maybe I should have used a white crayon). Their wheelchairs forced me to draw them sitting, boots facing forward instead of my go-to pose. I am not happy with how either their boots or their wheelchairs turned out. I wanted to add some detail to their wings, but that didn’t really work out so I stopped. Aanish’s clothes are supposed to be plain, but this is a bit too plain. Vaaloth’s armor is a bit weird but overall alright. 

Despite all of this, I think I am really improving. This looks way better than I had ever hoped to draw just a few months ago. If I keep going, I will be able to draw something that I am satisfied with at some point. 

Rashimar’s design allowed me to cheat on a lot of things: hair, nose, ears, lips, legs... All things I had to do for Umra. Overall I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I got much better at not applying too much pressure. Lips and nose are terrible and whip and double-bladed scimitar could be much better. She also doesn’t look as muscular as I wanted her to look. Drawing Chain mail was a pain. Oh and the shape of her face is kind of messed up as well.

Not bad for my first attempt in years to draw something. I need to improve a lot overall, but my main concern right now is that I need to not press too hard when drawing, you can still see the lines I erased before.
