Still doubtful on the broom riding, she gave a short smile; more an encouragement for him that she wouldn’t snap his broom in half… well she did hope that she wouldn’t. She believed that everyone else was allowed to  float around in the sky, but her feet would stay firmly on the ground.  “Well come on then…” She released a grip of his hand, and made an automatic run out towards the courtyard; still as childish as ever, and mostly always running without giving a warning before she’d even try to race, because she was always last; she blamed her shoes. But this time she took off at a large speed; dodging any other students on route.

He released her hand almost as quickly as she did, heading in a completely opposite direction to Kayla. He needed a window large enough, and none so far was suiting his purpose. It didn't help trying to think of the larger windows as he was in a rush. Remembering the one in the dis-used classrooms the next floor down Corey set off at a run, his broom still in hand. The way this had gone maybe it would have been quicker to just take the normal route, but too late now. Pushing open the window he stood crouched on the window ledge, positioning himself on his broom before kicking off from the stoney ledge, feeling the air rush completely around him as he dived towards the ground floor. If he hadn't beaten her, he'd have to seriously question his own flying skills.

Looking nervous, and feeling nervous, mostly at the shot of the broom into Coreys hand had caught her off guard, and made her jump backwards. She’d already suffered enough embarassment with brooms; she didn’t really know if she wanted to do it all over, and even more so infront of Corey. “But I won’t break it..” Mumbling slightly, she hoped she wouldn’t snap it; mostly because she knew how much he loved it. “I can’t promise I won’t end up in the hospital wing after it, because I am useless..”

He ignored any feelings of doubt he may have had, he trusted her. Afterall she did beat him in pretty much every class so riding couldn't be that much different. Although the looks of doubt conveyed on her own face weren't convincing him to keep up his facade much. Waving the broom slightly with it in his other hand he forced a more encouraging smile in her direction. "C'mon, I'll race you to the pitch." Ignoring her comment about being useless, because he knew she wouldn't be, he didn't much fancy seeing her sent to the hospital wing, especially not after recent events at the school.
