The Stars Still Speak Your Name
The stars came out again tonight,
Scattered like whispers across the dark —
I stood there, breath caught,
Watching how they burned so far away,
How your laughter was a constellation
Mapping joy across my sky.
How your kindness was a soft glow
That kept the shadows back.
But even stars fall, don’t they?
And I never saw the dusk coming.
Now I search for you in the silence,
In the cold, in the ache,
And find you in pinpricks of light —
I swear I hear your voice
In the hush of night wind,
Feel your warmth in the hush of memory.
You left, but not entirely.
The echo of something infinite.
The stars still speak your name.
