Finishing the 2013 Publix Fort Lauderdale A1A Marathon. It was my 11th marathon or ultra since I traded smoking for running on 12/1/06. Alas this was my first marathon where a photog failed to snap me dancing across the finish line, but I can assure you I danced over it as always!

After finishing the Fort Lauderdale A1A Marathon in February, I was accepted into Marathon Maniacs. The funny part is, I could have qualified FIVE years ago! It turns out that if you run two marathons within 15 days each other, you're in at the Bronze level. I ran the 2007 NYC Marathon and then 14 days later did my first ultra, the Knickerbocker 60K. Boom!
