The change that had come about the city was indeed troubling. This would be Kaneki’s first real taste of the insanity that Hive City could bring about. Even concepts such as time and space were rendered useless, as those who controlled their fates toyed with reality as though it were but a mere game. There had to be repercussions for this sort of abuse, he knew that. But for now, they had no choice but to dance to the tune of the flute. The pauper was waiting.

However, this could also be seen as an opportunity. This place was now full of strange beings. And as such, Kaneki had to ask the question that was clawing at his mind. ‘Could a Ghoul eat them?' In order to eat his fill so that his hunger for human flesh would subside.. Was it possible? It was worth a try. He made certain to adorn his mask so as to hide his true identity and then proceeded outside of the town.

His figure was shrouded by the veil of night that had come over the woodland area. Were it anyone else, the eerie sight and environment would have caused them to flee in fear. However, he had no room for fear. Only hunger. What he saw was a lone troll, gingerly making it’s way through the woods with what appeared to be human remains in it’s hand. So they fed on humans.. That was perfect.

Then eating them is even more justified!

Nice was now just casually hopping from tree to tree due to the closeness of them, but he saw something that seemed..off. Silently, he hopped to one more tree and sat on a branch as he watched what was happening down below.
