Embracing My Dreams: Overcoming Fear and Imposter Syndrome:
From a young age, I remember having dreams of flying. In these dreams, I was often a superhero, pursued by a villain, or simply trying to take flight. Every time I attempted to soar, I was interrupted by the villain, or I couldn’t get a good lift off. There were moments when I’d manage to fly high into the sky, only to find myself falling back down.
Recently, I started following a page on my personal Instagram where an AI character flies through the sky, space, cities, and various other realms. Whenever I come across one of its posts, I am captivated by the animation, as it always brings me back to my dreams.
More and more, I feel these posts are a message from God, reminding me that I have the ability to fly, to soar, and that I am special and gifted. What has held me back all this time is fear—the fear of the unknown and the fear of failure.
I have struggled with imposter syndrome, but I believe now is the time to face it head-on. No more fear, only confidence in myself and in the knowledge that I am capable.
These dreams and animations are constant reminders of the power within me to rise above my doubts and insecurities. It’s time to embrace my potential, believe in my abilities, and let go of the fear that has held me back. I am ready to soar.

Before I started Full Sail, I had been in and out of career fields like I was with relationships. Like relationships it seems as though God places us on a continual search for someone or in this situation something that’s made for us to have a meaning behind it.
I had always thought I’d continue to do art or creating on the side but was more concerned with working behind a desk or helping at-risk youth. Helping at risk youth is something I value to this day remembering what it was like to have a father in my life or places like the Youth Center on military bases or the local Boys & Girls club played a vital part in who I have become today.
But then I gifted a Canon Rebel T5 as a gift for Valentine’s Day. Although it was from my ex-wife, it was the greatest thing she had ever gifted me.
Because of that camera I was able to learn how overcome dealing with depression, anxiety, and social anxiety. Prior to receiving the camera, I like others turned to other means of dealing with mental health issues such as alcohol, women, weed, and of course spending money.
Because of that, I was able to help others overcome mental health issues. I’ve always been someone willing to help others and being able to share my stories with others aided them in their recovery process.
Because of that, I was able to pursue a personal goal of become college educated. Being gifted with a camera and it is allowing me to overcome barriers, it’s led me into places I’ve never thought I’d be by simply helping as well as providing for my family.
Until I finally decided to get back to creating art, I would have been living a life full of unhappiness and regrets. Not saying that there’s anything with working for the government or working behind a desk, but it wasn’t for me!
And ever since I decided to pursue my passion for media, I’ve found myself meeting people and creating with people I’ve never thought I’d work with. I use to sit and watch YouTube and imagine myself working with mainstream artist, just last week I was sitting in a studio with “Gold Plaque” artist and I almost shed a tear just thinking about how far I’ve come.
