Finding Lost Time

Making rockets for school rocket day. Custom tubing with 3D printed nose, a whistle, and lots of girly washi tape.

Took the kids to a free kids workshop at Home Depot. They made a whiteboard to take home.

Back to work after a nice 3 month leave. First thing first -- archived all the emails in my inbox. First time in 7 years I have no mail in my inbox. :) It won't last more than a minute.

Spent the last day of my 3 month sabbatical binge watching Netflix.

Took my daughter out for a Krispy Kreme treat after school today.

Sat in a massage chair for half an hour, to get a massage. Why haven't I tried this before??

Took the kids to the mall for an art lesson. They drew Hello Kitty and a unicorn.

My favorite breakfast, omelette with salsa. The days of eating breakfast at a leisure pace without being interrupted is coming to an end soon. *SNIFF*

Built a princess castle with my 4yo. She didn't have school today so we played all day.

Enjoying a leisure lunch at my favorite place with my kiddos, along with a bunch of people who aren't working...

Lunch date is incomplete without dessert. I'm in love with this one - Thai tea snow ice with mochi, coffee jelly, and tapioca balls.

Even though school has started already, I can still have lunch dates with my little first grader on minimum days. Today, we are sharing a poke box. Then we will spend the rest of the afternoon at the library reading.

Peaceful Monday afternoon at the park. Kids are back in school. Grandma and I can sit on a shaded bench infront of the lake to enjoy the cool breeze and contemplate on the meaning of life.

Got myself an Instant Pot last month during Prime Day and only opened it this week. I have two weeks left of my sabbatical to figure out how to use this thing and whip out dinner in under 20 minutes. Wish me luck!

Today was the first day of first grade for my daughter. She was a lot more excited than I was. She’s growing up too fast for my liking, but I look back at what an amazing summer we had and I am so thankful we made so many wonderful memories together. 

Made these simple yet delicious chicken wings in my brand new Instant Pot! 3 min prep time, 10 min in the IP, and 3 min to broil.

A nice date with my daughter at Alexander's Patisserie. Summer is almost over so savoring every moment (and bite).
