There you have it: A comprehensive compilation of films from 1972 - 2001 that featured the original World Trade Center towers in New York City. The montage includes clips of 1,222 television series and films that featured a glimpse (some very briefly) of the original twin towers in New York City long before they were destroyed in an attack in 2001. In the first 5-7 years in the montage, their appearance in films and TV shows offered a rare early look at the marvels in their infancy, discolored and still sporting scaffolding. Things of note: The films between 1972 - 1979 are primarily crime-oriented films and shows. No wonder since the city experienced a surge in crime in that decade, giving it the inevitable nickname of "Fear City".
