Hi Everyone! Katy here (@katyyysays) I’m guest live blogging the Anberlin show tonight for the Fillmore, as this is their last show in Charlotte, it’s sure to be a treat.

8:00 PM: The Fillmore is packed for Anberlin tonight! The opening band ‘68 just took the stage, a guitar and drum driven duo.

8:21PM The last of the concert attendees have funneled in with two songs left for opening duo ‘68. Their music is loud and pure rock.

8:29PM ‘68 have ended their set, the lights are on and the anticipation for Anberlin to take the stage is setting in.

8:57PM The Fillmore is filled with chatter. Drinks are being poured, bartenders are being topped and new friendships are being made while we wait for Anberlin to take the stage

9:07PM Cheers and applause as Anberlin takes the stage of the Fillmore Charlotte one last time. They’re opening with “Never Take Friendship Personal”

The crowd is singing along with passion from the very start, a great way to start off a farewell show.

9:22PM The gaps in the crowd have completely in. This is a high energy show both on and off stage. “7 albums! This song is dedicated to everyone that was here from the start”-Stephen Christian, introducing “Readyfuels”

9:32 PM Anberlin are fast paced on stage, transitioning straight from one song to the next on the setlist. So far we’ve gotten: Never Take Friendship Personal, Kingsley, Paperthin Hymn, Self Starter, Readyfuels, Destroyer and Someone Anyone. 7 songs of the 19 song setlist.

9:40PM “I can’t believe it’s been 12 years, singing along, playing shows. Our favorite part of the show is when you guys sing along, so please don’t stop now” Stephen Christian going into “The Symphony of”

The crowd isn’t going to dissapoint him as they sing along, becoming the bands choir.

9:51PM “I don’t care what it is you want to be whether is a doctor or musician. You’ve got to pursue it and follow your dreams. Anythings possible.” Stephen Christian introducing “The Unwinding Cable Car”

phones are up recording this one and the crowd is singing their loudest.

10:06PM The crowd is getting loud for “A Day Late” and the shows first crowd surfer has surfaced.

10:17PM The energy is at it’s highest point with “Dismantle, Repair” There are only a few songs left, Anberlin has never been better.

10:27 PM “Thank you for being a part of this Charlotte”-Stephen Christian. Closing the set with “Feel Good Drag”

The cheers are loud, the whole crowd is singing along. This is a strong ending.

10:32PM *Encore* with the chants of “one more song!” Anberlin has come out to finish the night “*Fin” a fitting song for the last song of the night of the last Anberlin show in Charlotte.
