Fighting Infinity&Beyond

I don't believe there is a such thing as the one because love is a full time job. It takes work. It's more than compatibility or butterflies in your stomach. It is being able to love the raw flawed version of someone and to continue doing that even when it is extremely hard to do. It is choosing that person over and over again everyday to be yours. Feeling safe and loved. I wish I had grown up with parents that stayed together. I wish I did not have my expectations of a relationship ruined by yelling and having the cops come into my house. I wish divorce never existed. I know that you can fall out of love and I know that sometimes it just doesn't work. The hunt for love however is so difficult nowadays even though we have numerous apps to find it. Call me an old soul if you want but I need the love that happens by fate. One where you can stay up late and talk forever and not have a care in the world when you are with them. But that isn't realistic anymore. Love hurts sometimes but can it heal? Can you really forgive when you can't forget?
