Cole and I had officially been working together for two months. We would often discuss locations for the tour and some other business but we would always end up on other random topics; getting to know each other a little better. I pretty much had the whole tour planned we just needed a venue for the release party that we both agreed on. Cole wanted to have the party in NY, so we were in the city looking at a couple of different venues.
I was in a good mood too âcause last night I got to spend time with Jay considering heâs been here for 2 weeks while Iâve still been in LA working. I have been so busy working on this tour that I hardly had time for my personal life, let alone my love life. Then again I am surrounded by the Dreamville crew most of the time and they are becoming great friends, so they have become a big part of my life in general.
âColeeeeee,â I sang his name as I made my way toward where he was waiting.
âSomeone is in a good mood today, must have gave olâ dude the night of his life.â He winked at me.
âShut the up Cole!â I responded as I hit his shoulder. He laughed as if my punches didnât hurt. Watch one day Iâm going to be stronger and my punches will actually hurt when he has some smart shit to say.
We made our way into the first venue we were going to explore. Throughout the day I showed him about six places around the city, each one he told me didnât feel right. Can he be any more difficult? Cole and I sat in a Starbucks as I thought about one more place. As soon as it came to me I made a couple of calls so they could give Cole a tour of the place. We arrived at the 40/40 club and I had a feeling that he was going to love it.
âWow Iâve never seen this place so empty,â Cole announced as we walked into the club. We were given an official tour and it was now up to Cole.
âCanât get any better than HOVâs place. Why didnât you just take me here first?â He questioned.
âI wanted to give you options. I take it that this what you were looking for.â
âYeah the other places werenât giving me the right vibes. Now here I feel at home.â I could tell he was now satisfied. It had been a long day.
I talked to the manager about setting things up and we talked a little business.
âOkay, lets get out of here. Iâm hungry as hell,â he stated obviously restless. I laughed.
âYouâre so damn fat, we stopped for food 4 times today.â
He simply looked at me blankly as if that wasnât a problem.
âAlright, come on fatty lets get you something to eat,â with that we were off to a burger place in queens.
âNow I am going to warn you this place isnât the fanciest or nicest looking, but their food is out of this world.
âYou talking to me like Iâm Melody or some shit. As long as the food is good, Iâm good.â
See this is what I liked about Ang. She had money AND she knew I had Money too but she wasnât the type to be flaunting it around all over the place. She was okay with the simple things. If I were to take Melody to any of my old spots I would have had to hear her complain for days about people looking at her the wrong way or passing by a homeless person asking us for money. It felt good to be back in queens, Iâve had my place in Manhattan for a while now and I never have time to come back and just chillâŚâŚ
We headed to my place at about 3am, stumbling into my apartment because we stopped for a couple of drinks. Angelaâs heels clicked against the floor, I had to keep her quiet because Melody was in my room sleeping. I picked Angela up and carried her to the guest room at the other end of the condo. I then made my way over to the west wing so I could take a shower and also get to bed. I slowly walked into the room seeing a sleeping Melody with hardly anything on. That body always reminds me why I wanted her in the first place.
 *Flashback*
Wale and I had just walked into Love Nightclub in D.C. ready to show our faces and mingle with the beautiful women. As we approached VIP I couldnât help but stare at the curvaceous body that swayed back and forth with her friends who were certainly not as blessed as she was. At this point I was used to women flocking to me, but at the time she was different, paid me no mind was too busy doing her own thing. Along with her girls she sat in the booth next to us sipping on her drink as she sang the words to Kendrickâs Donât Kill My Vibe. I sent over complementary drinks to get her attention and she actually sent them back. From that moment I knew had to make her mine. She was exactly what I was looking for a CHASE.
Once I did get her she slowly started to become less of the âindependent woman,â that I was falling for. She was asking for money all the time but honestly I didnât care because I lovedâŚI mean I still love her, Iâm just not sure its as strong anymore.
I climbed into bed and wrapped my arms around Melodyâs torso as I took in the scent of her shampoo. Luckily sheâs a heavy sleeper so I didnât wake her up.
The next morning when I woke up I found Melody in the kitchen and there was no sign of Angela. I assumed she left already so I shot her a text. So I donât get âThank you for taking care of me last night Jermaineâ
After a short time she replied.
âThank you Mr. Cole for a fun night and making sure I was in a bed and not passed out in the hotel lobbyâ
I went into the kitchen to find Melody with one of my t-shirts with her slightly wet hair down her back.
âTook a shower without me?â I pouted.
âYou were knocked out. Must have had a great time with the fellas last night since you were out so late,â she side eyed me.
âYeaahhh, I told the guys I needed to get back home to my baby, but you know them, trying to keep a nigga out all night,â I was lying out my ass.
She walked toward the refrigerator reaching for some juice.
âJermaine, there is no point in lying to me, I have eyes all over the City. Did you enjoy the bar in Manhattan with Angela?"
â What are you talking about? So you got people stalking me?â I put the topic of discussion onto her.
âI wouldnât say that. Itâs just lot of people know that we are together and know I Wouldnât appreciate you being out with another woman all night long.â
âWho the fuck told you not only where I was but also who I was with,â I was upset. Who does that shit?
âIt doesnât matter what my sources are just donât let it happen again.â
I knew Ang. and I should have stayed in queens, should have followed my gut feeling. If we never went to that bar nearby Melody would have had no idea what I was doing.
âMel, at the end of the day. She is my friend and you canât tell me who I can chill with, when, or for how long,â she really thought she ran shit.
â Come on J, you obviously find her attractive, I know the type of girls you like. Plus if she was just a friend you would not have had to lie to me,â she was speaking truth but I want going to let her know it.
â You know what Mel, I didnât tell you because I know how you can get,â I admitted to her.
âJermaine how are we going to grow if you are not truthful with me?â
Grow?! What is she talking about?
The doorbell rang ending our conversation and behind the door was no other than Andre, Melodyâs âgayâ best friend. I know for a fact that olâ boy is straight and just waiting for me to fuck up. He honestly makes me sick, Iâve told Mel about him countless times but she donât want to listen.
âWhy you got this dude coming to my house,â I said loud enough for him to hear in the living room.
âBabe were going shopping, he just came to pick me up we will be gone in a minute,â she reassured. She went off into the back of the condo, I assume to finish getting ready.
I sat in my chair as Andre sat on the sofa looking through a magazine. âWhen are going to tell Mel that youâre NOT gay?â I honestly wanted to know.
He moved over on the couch and leaned in closer to me.
âWhen her lips are finally wrapped around my diâŚ.â
Before he could finish his sentence I had him pinned up against the nearest wall by his collar. I was getting ready to punch his lights out when Melody came out screaming.
âBabe what are you doing!?â
