People who think Tracker and Kristen should be endgame/are soulmates genuinely fascinates me. I don't mean that as some sort of shipper-hate or something, but I mean it as I know them. I used to be in that relationship. My first relationship after coming out as lesbian was exactly the same. We started dating in high school and stayed together for a few years. We were attached at the hip and one of us grandfathered in the other into their friendship group. One of us had some more experience as a dyke. Even how we interacted with each other was about as similar as it could be to Tracker and Kristen. We broke up amicably and through a lot of tears, promising each other to stay close friends. One of us got a summer depression over it and one of us became very productive over it. We didn't speak for months despite the promise and then when we saw each other again it was some weird parasocial/psychosexual dynamic none of us would recognise. We had a mutual friend who eventually chose a side. One of us got into a relationship soon thereafter and brought it up to the other in the most toxic imaginable way. We still cared about each other like crazy. That first insane lesbian relationship you're in is gonna set its mark forever and you're supposed to grow from it. Ally knew exactly what the vibe with Kristen and Tracker was because this is such a universal experience for young dykes. I'm sorry to all the girlies, but Ally knows what the game they're playing is
