kak boleh tidak spill belajar Englishnya biar bisa sebagus kakak T___T
i don't study the language in a traditional sense. it's more of learning by doing kind of thing. understanding grammar and structure is important, but I think textbook studying can only take you so far. so i approach the language like a baby! i observe, then imitate. because when learning any language, after a certain point to get better is less about memorizing rules and more about developing a feel for the language.
i love reading books for grammar awareness, sentence structures, and new vocabulary (more enjoyable and easier to remember because i could immediately see the word used in context). this is my main method of learning. i'd read anything as long as it's entertaining. i think that's important, to enjoy it. it doesn't have to be a serious/heavy reading all the time, sometimes i'd even read some bullshit lol. but to learn what makes a good prose, it's good to know what makes a bad prose too.
meanwhile, watching movies, shows, and videos is how i learn how people actually speak it. both help expose me to colloquialisms, idioms, and cultural contexts.
ultimately, throwing myself into situations where i have no choice but to use the language especially with native speakers is by far the fastest way to fluency. but since we can’t always just jump into a new country whenever we want, immersion through media is the next best thing. when we learn a language, we're not just learning words. we're learning a culture and how the people think. and eventually, when we use the language we'll think like the language we speak.
i'm sorry if this is not the kind of answer you're looking for. honestly i'm not even sure how i even learned english at the first place LMAO. i don't think i have an exact method for it.
tl;dr baca buku dan nonton apapun dalam bahasa inggris. approach english kayak bayi belajar ngomong, observe and imitate. jangan cuma ngapalin rules, banyakin learning sentence/words dalam konteks. language = culture = how people think.
