Don’t bend; don’t water it down; don’t try to make it logical; don’t edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly.

I’m thinking of having a release event for The Millennial King.
What would be best?
A medieval themed fair with an emphasis on cosplay
A book critic gathering and signing for fans
A drunken orgy with an Opeth cover band
A TED Talk type event about the book’s themes
A triple feature of Princess Bride, Holy Grail, and Shrek
A public reading by myself or a celebrity like Ewan McGregor
A convention of some sort, Ooh- maybe some kind of ball pit!
How about all of the above?
This is the consensus around tumblr it seems. Okay-
It’s decided: The Millennial King will have a medieval themed cosplay release party with book critics, book signings, book speakers, a triple feature of The Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Shrek in one room, a ball pit in another, featuring a public reading of the novella by at least one celebrity, all around a main room with a medieval metal band playing to a clothing-optional crowd at a table with every known type of alcoholic beverage.
That last bit suggests the title since it’s like ancient the Roman celebration of Bacchanalia: It shall be called BACH-analia. Get it? Because the author of The Millennial King is named Ari Bach. And I do hereby decree that it shall be live-blogged.

…some panels from the first few books of ‘The Waters of Deadmoon’ (Story: Patrick Cothias - Art: Philippe Adamov - Heavy Metal, May 1990 through May 1991 - originally published in France as ‘Les Eaux de Mortelune’ by Glénat, 1986 through 1989), very much to my liking in the same vein as ‘Freakwave’ by Milligan/McCarthy & very Moebius…
