I will read the most genuine apologies where the op takes full accountability, explains exactly why they made the mistake, fully refunds people if money was involved, and steps away from the internet to think; promising to speak to trusted loved ones and professionals about the situation and return better.

Why do ‘normal’ people not enjoy things which are appealing, and colourful, and fun?

Well, because liking those things is a bit strange. It’s childish. You were meant to grow out of it.

But if you are already strange, there isn’t much of a drawback, is there? Not as much of a fear of being earnest when you’ve already been rejected? Might as well collect plushies and draw hot werewolves, right?

I think these things do have broad appeal. I think it’s less about something in our brains that draws us to them, and more about other people being taught to reject them.

There is a lot of debate about if or not this really depicts Susie, the biggest point of contention being the presence of a sword instead of an Axe. Though I enjoy the theories that perhaps Susie is not The Girl, I have a different interpretation to put forward. Not sure if anyone else has pointed this out.
