So hey, I’ve been slowly working away at this the past month or so, and planned on posting every time I got bingo but bc I have just not intentionally hunting for fics super hard and just update this when I happen to read something that works, it just hasn’t happened yet. Some of these are fics I have already read and downloaded (and proceeded to re read a million times) and some are new ones I’ve came across while rolling around in whatever tag or pairing is tickling my fancy at the moment. Some of the more niche shit especially is 100% from my personal library, but I have gone back and commented on all of those again so it still counts in my book. Couldn’t find any rules about everything needing to be new material so hopefully we’re all good on that front.
Bc this is frankly getting ridiculous I think ima just post this now bc at this point it’s gonna be ages till I get bingo. I have plenty of ot3 fics I could just go read rn and call it a day but the one I’m thinking of like I’m just not in the mood to read it atm (even tho it’s good. I just have horrible adhd and am off my meds) so I’m just gonna post this now. I’ll update if I actually get around to getting a bingo. Bc atp this is ridiculous lol.
(Also I know #16 says it counts as two spots but like it still feels like cheating if I don’t get all 5 in a row. So I’m ignoring that)

Totally had this thought from the moment I got into inception fanfic (did you know there are over 11K WORKS for these mf’s on ao3????!) but this author pulls it off PERFECTLY. Kat is grown up but still her brand of snippy and the blend between “Cameron” and “Arthur” works so well it’s scary. Give it a read. Instantly one of my favs.
5. Authors oldest fic: Pearly Whites by GrayGiantess
Fandom: IWTV (2022)
Pairing: Armand/Daniel Molloy
Stats: Mature. ~ 3.5k words.
Daniel asks questions about vampire teeth, and Armand finds out about stripped toothpaste (amongst other things.) Marked as mature bc Daniel is a horny monster fucker but no actual fucking happens. Found this author through another DM fic they wrote (which was EXCELLENT btw) and when I realized they’d written like 80+ fics SOLEY for IWTV + it’s extended universe, I had to see what their first fic was. And this did not disappoint. A lot more touching and introspective than you might think. Seriously I love these too they are like fucking DRUGS to my old man fucker brain
14. Fix it fic: hold your soul open for my welcoming by littledust.
Fandom: Dead Poets Society (1989)
Pairing: Todd Anderson/Neil Perry
Stats: Teen and Up. ~3k words.
Summary from ao3: “Todd gets a few postcards from Neil after he runs away, then doesn't hear from him for years. Somehow, they find each other again.”
All I gotta say is: fucking OW. Realistic but also really satisfying and sweet. Will be thinking about this one till the day I die. Just Jesus Christ.

Very funny fic. Still feels incredibly realistic for these two even tho the concept is insane. And they do make out eventually so dw.

Og fic: sweet and charming with a mix of classic Narnia creepy w a side of mystical.
Remix: so funny I nearly shit myself my first time reading. The prose is incredibly evocative and it fully goes in the opposite direction of the other fic tone and plot wise but it works SO WELL all the same.

First off, 1. Ow. This one hurt. 2. I need every antivaxer to read this bc JESUS CHRIST. And, 3. Whenever the aids crisis gets looped into whatever old man yaoi fanfic I’m reading, I am both like “yas, explore them complex themes and remind us of our queer history” while also being like “OW, wtf, WHY???!” One of my new favs FOR SURE.

Uh, this one made me cry gang. It’s really fucking good. But also really fucking emotional. Not for the faint of heart. But so fucking worth it. Making me think abt my own relationship with my shitty dad (who makes Daniel Molloy look like a saint) and like ugh. The last installment of this series might just be my favorite. Like UGH, just fucking read it. So many TW’s (for like everything under the sun) but it’s handled so well it just made me emotional rather than giving me a panic attack (which Daniel does infact have at one point), and the worst fucking part is that ITS ALL ANONYMOUS. I DONT EVEN KNOW WHO THIS AUTHOR IS!!!!!
(which I so so respect, I just wish I could praise them more directly/read more of their shit, and before ANYONE tries to figure it out let’s please respect their peace I know their old username is likely referenced in the comments, I’m ignoring it out of respect).
So yeah, new author by default, bc there is no clear author. But legit best fic I’ve read in a bit. I keep saying that but like this one rly takes the cake.

Tutorial on how to install the floating commenting box on AO3
So for those of us who love live-commenting fics, there exists an amazing script tool created by @ravenel and described on this post. Basically the commenting box is floating as you scroll down the text so you can quote/write as you read without incessantly going and returning to/from a text editor.
I made this tutorial on how to install it on either Chrome or Firefox for @missmaxime but then I figured I might as well share it here so anyone else who’s interested could use it.
If you’re using another browser than Chrome or Firefox but know how to add extensions on it, then you can still follow part 2 of this tutorial since Tampermonkey is available for other browsers as well.

19. translation - I've fallen for a kid by LoveAndDaggers (fandom: The Avengers. Ship: Loki/Bucky. T/MM.) Peter does the math and determines that in human years, Loki is actually a teenager. This was really cute!
17. angst - the perils of wanting by softambrollins (fandom: WWE. ship: Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins. M/MM.) The fractures are starting to appear in Shield and Dean definitely blames himself. Softambrollins is one of Thee Ambrollins writers, and this is a great example of why.
18. poetry - Go Bravely to the Morning by Nos4a2no9 (fandom: The 13th Warrior. Ship: Ahmed/Herger. E/MM.) Ahmed returns to the North in the hopes of finding Herger, and he finds more than he expected. I really liked this, and it has Ahmed's poetry interwoven throughout.
