originally  created  for  the  angels  of  asia  only,  the  project  eventually  expanded  as  its  success  skyrocketed,  even  leading  to  the  group's  main  vocalist  earning  their  first  prestigious  award  without  ever  formally  debuting  as  a  solo  artist.  as  ævenue  grew,  it  opened  up  to  other  artists  from  their  company  modern  marie,  allowing  them  to  release  and  perform  unreleased  songs  through  the  channel  as  well.  despite  this  wider  involvement,  hiraeth  remains  at  the  heart  of  the  project,  continuing  as  the  original  creators,  main  producers,  and  the  driving  force  behind  its  unique  identity. 

ævenue  serves  as  a  music  archive  for  hiraeth,  broadcasting  short  and  entertaining  games,  exclusive  music  showcases,  and  live  performances  with  a  full  band.  unlike  traditional  releases,  many  of  these  performances  are  never  officially  archived  or  reuploaded  (though  exceptions  have  been  made  before),  making  the  channel  station  notorious  for  its  lost  media  status.  while  some  footage  resurfaces  through  fan  recordings  and  illegal  leaks,  much  of  what  airs  remains  a  mystery  and  a  lost  treasure  to  many,  with  their  management  quick  to  copyright  anything  shared  without  authorization.

the  project  is  currently  divided  into  seven  seasons,  starting  the  year  after  their  debut  and  continuing  to  this  day.  each  broadcast  is  carefully  crafted,  with  the  angels  participating  as  hosts  and  bringing  a  distinct  aesthetic  to  every  episode.  it  airs  once  a  year  on  channel  777,  the  angel  network,  aligning  with  the  rise  of  the  black  moon.  this  unique  schedule  has  cemented  its  status  as  an  ultra-exclusive,  almost  hidden  event,  resembling  the  likes  of  the  concept  of  the  black  moon.  

the  show  has  only  grown  in  popularity  over  the  years,  drawing  a  strong  viewership  and  building  a  loyal  fanbase  through  the  years  (are  we  sure  isn’t  it  just  people’s  fomo,  though?).  airing  just  once  a  year,  each  episode  runs  about  an  hour  and  a  half,  sometimes  even  a  little  longer,  delivering  breathtaking  live  performances  and  striking  stage  designs.  every  detail,  from  the  lighting  to  the  set  pieces,  is  meticulously  designed  to  match  that  year’s  theme,  creating  an  immersive  experience  for  both  the  fans  and  the  artists  themselves.  fans  look  forward  to  these  rare  broadcasts  every  year,  knowing  that  once  it  airs,  it  may  never  be  seen  again.

highlights.    first  broadcast  of  ævenue  777,  regarded  as  one,  if  not  the  most  elusive  episode  of  the  show,  as  music  videos  and  exclusive  content  during  trainee  and  pre-debut  era  were  shown.  first  peek  at  their  lightstick,  the  halo  touch  or  the  aebong,  designed  by  naoko  takeuchi—  later  released  on  the  first  anniversary  of  their  debut.  yvan’s  generation  becoming  a  fan  favorite,  leading  a  music  video  to  be  released  under  the  channel  caraluna.  it  earned  them  three  wins  and  two  year-end  awards,  becoming  the  first  hiraeth  member  to  ever  win  a  prestigious  award  on  their  own.  kaia  entirely  missing  her  high  note  during  virtual  angel  and  earning  the  nastiest  side  glance  from  yvan.  at  least  that’s  what  their  akgaes  say.

highlights.    fans  mad  as  fuck  because  boombayah  is  both  an  unreleased  song  and  music  video  (it  was  for  the  best,  yvan  said.  they  hate  it!).  yvan  making  everything  awkward  by  side  eyeing  the  camera  (and  you)  after  kaia  and  poppy’s  miniskirt  performance,  almost  as  if  they  were  shaming  you!  morningbrew  producing  the  final  track  of  mock  orange’s  summer  project,  the  summer  ██  disappeared,  with  the  story  moving  backward  and  told  from  the  perspective  of  the  eggtart  boys:  hinting  at  mock  orange’s  disappearance  in  the  future.  the  boys’  desire  to  break  the  egg  almost  mirrors  the  angels’  cryptic  messages.  it  is  something  no  one  fully  understands  but  someone  must  uncover.

highlights.   poppy’s  first  written  song,  which  was  co-written  with  kaia,  you  know?,  gaining  them  the  famous  title  #ChristianGirlsMakeBabyMakingMusic!  hiraeth’s  cover  of  christina  aguilera's  ven  conmigo,  with  yvan  reading  the  phonetics  off  their  phone  mid-performance.  poppy  choking  herself  in  the  background,  oblivious  to  the  fact  that  she  was  still  in  screen,  while  kaia  talked  about  how  ah-maaaaazing  it  was  to  work  with  their  genius  producer  ███.  yvan  complaining  at  the  lack  of  redbulls  backstage,  then  being  forced  to  host  an  instagram  live  the  next  day  and  tell  angels  to  stop  because  the  company  mailbox  was  flooding  with  redbulls.

highlights.    the  very  friendly  uno  game  (poppy  and  yvan  were  forced  into  a  get-along  shirt  after  it).  yvan  holding  a  help  me  sign  during  touch  my  body  (they  said  they  hate  it.  they  couldn’t  give  anyone  another  valid  reason  other  than  pure  despise  despite  their  good  performance).  kaia’s  self-written  through  the  night  bringing  everyone  to  tears,  including  herself  during  the  end  of  the  final  chorus,  though  she  immediately  stuck  her  tongue  out  and  threw  up  a  peace  sign  the  second  the  camera  landed  on  her.  kaia  not  only  telling  staff  to  cut  cameras,  but  yelling  out  random  brand  names  when  yvan  started  mentioning  the  idols  who  couldn’t  hold  a  note  for  their  life  and  yes,  she  actually  got  away  with  it  and  to  this  day,  no  one  knows  who  they  mentioned.

highlights.    the  angels’  performance  of  black  magic  becoming  one  of  the  most  sought-after  leaks.  angels  and  fans  annoying  poppy  so  much  about  her  song  know  better  that  she  ended  up  telling  management  to  post  it  somewhere  so  they  could  finally  leave  her  alone.  the  song  earned  her  her  first  pak,  many  edits,  and  people  being  even  more  annoying  about  who  the  song  was  actually  about.  yvan  singlehandedly  causing  the  most  awkward  silence  by  telling  kaia  she’s  got  something  far  more  sinister  going  on  than  just  girly  whimsy.  poppy  casually  mentioning  that  she  produced  a  soon-to-be  hit  pop  song,  then  refusing  to  elaborate.

highlights.   yvan’s  performance  of  good  luck,  babe!  spreading  like  wildfire,  solidifying  it  as  one  of  the  most  iconic  performances  from  the  project  and  perhaps  the  one  song  management  wasn’t  that  strict  when  it  came  to  copyrighting.  poppy  starting  off  their  performance  of  cry  for  me  by  bluntly  saying,  "i’m  sick  of  healing."  yvan  admitting  they  cried  when  justin  bieber  got  married  during  a  truth  or  dare  game.  poppy  completely  spacing  out  in  the  middle  of  their  dolls  performance,  becoming  kaia’s  number  one  enemy  of  the  night  (and  yvan  recreating  the  fighting  parents  wolf  meme  at  some  point).

highlights.    kaia’s  performance  of  bam  yang  yang,  which  was  supposed  to  be  part  of  her  debut  album,  lucky  me,  but  wasn’t  included  because,  in  her  words,  she  could  already  picture  the  tomatoes  being  thrown  at  her.  yvan  promoting  poppy’s  newest  gentle  monster  prescribed  line  glasses  by  accidentally  breaking  them  in  half  during  disconnected—  ended  up  being  scolded  by  poppy  because  “i  needed  them,  asshole!”  during  kaia’s  solo.  yvan  casually  showing  off  their  oscar  during  the  performance  of  their  newest,  unreleased  song  successful.  kaia  teasing  that  they  may  or  may  not  be  working  on  a  new  comeback,  though  many  joke  that  yvan’s  oscar  looked  more  excited  than  poppy  herself.

Her stomach sinks, and her eyes squeeze shut. She feels the familiar burn behind her eyelids, the burn of tears emerging, and she already knows what he wants to talk about.

“Wonwoo, please.” She steadies her voice, squeezing his hand. “It’s been such a good night, please.”

“Mira,” He sighs, slipping his arms out from under her and sitting up. He rests his palm on her shoulder, silently begging her to look at him. “We can’t keep avoiding the subject. I'd rather talk about it now so we don’t have a cloud hanging over us every time we’re together.”

She curls into the pillow underneath her, cries bubbling in her throat. They’ve only discussed the topic of his enlistment a couple of times. Once when he had told her he’d be enlisting later in the year, and another when he got his specific date. The first time was after they had finished being intimate and were both winding down. Mira hadn’t said a word, her eyes doing all the talking for her. She didn’t sleep much that night, choosing to not dwell on the topic further with him and instead letting her mind run laps. When he had messaged her his enlistment date over text, she completely ignored it, letting it sit in a far place in her mind.

“Hey, come here.” He scooted up on his bed, pulling the pillows higher and sitting back against the headboard. He held his arms out, waiting for him to face him. When she finally turned over, he could tell her eyes were glassy and she was on the verge of sobbing.

“I don’t know what I’m gonna do without you.” Her voice breaks as she crawls to sit between his legs, wrapping her arms around his waist.

“Don’t say that.” His arm hugs her closer while his free hand brushes his fingers through her hair. “You’re gonna be okay.”

“I don’t think I will.”

“Stop that. I know you will.” He presses a kiss to the top of her head. “I just need to know if you'll wait for me.”

She turns and presses her forehead into his chest. “Of course I will. I’ve hated trying to imagine myself being so… weak and lonely. There’s no one else for me. I don’t want anyone but you.”

He feels her tears fall onto his chest, trickling down his body. He wipes under her eyes with his thumb, rubbing his hand up and down her back to comfort her. “Hey, there’s no one else for me either. And you’re not weak, baby. You’re the absolute opposite.”

“I don’t feel like it.” She uses the sleeve of her sweater to wipe her nose. “What if you forget about me? What if you don’t feel the same way when you come home?”

He shakes his head, gathering her hair at her neck and pushing her back by her shoulders. “Look at me,” He smiles, mirroring her wobbling lips. “There hasn’t been a single day that I haven’t thought about you since we met. Every day that I’m gone, I’ll be counting down the days until I come home to you.”

Mira tries to be quiet as sobs erupt from her throat, grabbing onto his wrists. “I feel like everything is falling apart.”

He pulls her back against his chest, rocking them back and forth as he cradles her head. “You’re okay. I’ve got you.”

She trembles beneath him, conscious of how she’s getting his chest all wet with her tears but unable to stop the waterworks. He shushes her, stretching to dig around in his nightstand for tissues. Once he finds them, he brushes her hair out of her face, tears welling up in his own eyes at the sight of how vulnerable Mira looks. The realization hits him that the enlistment isn’t the only thing settling on her. He takes a tissue, blotting under her eyes as he pouts.

“What else is bothering you, baby?” He takes another tissue, holding it out for her.

She takes it, using it to blow her nose. She tries to choke down another sob, failing miserably as she gets worked up again. She shakes her head, hands falling into her lap as she tries to make sense of all the emotions clouding her brain.

“Take your time. It’s okay.” He leans forward, pressing his lips to her forehead and keeping them there as he cups her cheek. “I’m here to listen.”

She hovers her hand over her mouth, struggling to catch her breath as she tries to speak. “So much… is happening… lately.”

Wonwoo nods, his brows furrowing as he listens closely.

“My mom… suddenly talking… to me… after so many years.” She shakes, her breathing labored.

He sighed, wrapping his arms around her, wanting nothing but to take all her pain from her. He understands how confusing her life has been for her recently. And he knows how her moms sudden want to be a part of Mira’s life has thrown her out of sorts. He had a suspicion that she was holding in a lot of her emotions, letting it all build up over time. He sensed the tension that she was keeping under wraps. “Shh, just calm down a bit.”

He let her cry for as long as she wanted, holding her close and discarding her tissues in the trash near his bed. It was a while before her heaving stopped, staying in their silence as he rubbed her back.

Mira sniffles, rubbing her eyes with the palm of her hand before pushing away from him. Her voice wobbled a bit, but she had no energy left to keep on crying. “I don’t know what it is, I just feel like life has paused for me. I liked the routine I was in: happy, in love, booked. But I’ve decided not to renew my contract, and I feel like that has stirred some feelings in me that I didn’t know I had.

“My mom is reaching out after all these years. I don’t know what she wants from me, money or to see me suffer. It’s not in her character, and it’s throwing me off balance. I have no idea what to do or where to go once my contract ends. I’ve always been with Handong, but she’s leaving. And now you. You’re leaving too. I…I don’t know how to be on my own. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I am so scared.”

“Oh Mira,” He furrows his brows, his eyes softening as his head tilts to the side. He pulls her back into his arms, pressing his lips to her forehead. “How long have you been keeping this to yourself?”

She shakes her head. “I-I don’t know… It’s more of an internal battle I’m having with myself, and what good would it do if I had thrown it all on you? The last thing I want to do is make you feel helpless when it comes to me.”

“I feel more helpless when you shut me out, baby. So don’t do that anymore, please.” He whispered, resting his chin on the top of her head. “You’re my partner, Mira. It wouldn’t be fair if I only let you shoulder my burdens. I love you, so lessen your stress and lay it on me, okay?”

Her eyes start to sting again, tears running down her cheeks. She nods, wiping her eyes. “I’m sorry.”

“You don’t have to apologize or feel sorry. Just tell me if something’s bothering you. Even if your allergies are acting up, I wanna know.” He chuckles.

She’s quiet for a beat until he hears a snort and can finally relax. She can’t see how big his smile is, content with knowing he managed to get one ounce of joy from her after she was so vulnerable before him.

“In that case, I might annoy you.”

“Never.” He tucks her hair behind her ears, kissing her brow. “You could never annoy me.”

He knows that she will be fine. She might not be convinced now, but he’d believe it for the both of them until she could see for herself.

“You’re gonna be perfect, Mira. You think it's going to be impossible. It’ll be hard for a while, but it’s gonna be okay in the end.” He looks down at her until she meets his gaze, her eyes sparkling back at him. “You’re gonna find something you’re so passionate about, you'll get lost in it, and then one day, I’ll be back as if I was just away for a couple weeks.”

She says nothing, simply nods. Her mind remains unchanged and doesn't want to negate what he believes to be true. She sniffles again, scooting back from him before sitting cross-legged in front of him. “You better contact me at any opportunity.”

“Oh, I plan on it.” He grabs both of her hands, bringing them to his lips to kiss them. “Do you think it would make things easier if I made a list of things that you could try? Maybe I could give you a new book to read every month.”

“I’d love that.” She grins, staring at her lap as he runs his fingers over the back of her hands.

“I’ll get to work on it.” He leaned forward, pecking her forehead. “Do you have anything in mind for what you want to do once your contract is over?”

Her shoulders fall, and she sighs, shaking her head. “We‘ll have a couple of schedules after, but I don’t know what I’ll do. The company has been very good to us, but it’s not perfect. It’ll be hard to find something new…”

“I get that.” He nods. “Perhaps you could visit your dad in Hong Kong for a while. I know he misses you, and talking to him might help.”

Mira pursed her lips, a warm sensation filling her body. She does miss her dad, she realizes. “You’re right.”

He continues holding her hands as he stands up from the bed, letting them go to pull apart his made blankets. “Maybe you could try acting?”

“Goodness no, I’d be terrible at it.”

“You never know unless you try.” He raises his eyebrows with a hopeful smile. “I’d love to hear that beautiful voice of yours anywhere. Do you still wanna sing?”

“Yes… I think I might die if I can’t sing anymore.” She lifts her bottom, getting under the blankets. “But I can’t do that without a company to support me.”

“We’ll help you find something.” He bends over the bed, reaching to brush her bangs out of her eyes. “It’s not a crime to ask for help, baby.”

She slowly nods, bringing her knees to her chest. She watches as he climbs back into the bed, adjusts his pillows, and lies down. He opens his arms, waiting for her. She scoots closer to him, laying on her side and resting her head on his chest. He wraps his arms around her, turning his head to kiss her on her head.

“Maybe you could be an MC or host a radio show? That way, you can meet a ton of people.” He sounds more enthused as he bounces off ideas for her.

“That might be nice.” She closes her eyes and imagines herself being an MC at one of the music shows or a DJ at one of the stations that the group has been to countless times before.

“The possibilities are endless. Whatever you decide, you’ll have the support of me, twelve guys, seven other girls, and all your fans who adore you. Everything is gonna work itself out, okay?”

She hums in agreement, settling into the mattress as he pulls the covers up to both of their shoulders.

“Seungcheol and Seungkwan have been given strict orders to look after you.” He murmured against her hair.

Mira snorts, caught off guard by the image of Wonwoo commanding his members to look after her. Then her heart begins to ache, knowing she’s found a home in her members and his group as well. She can feel her eyes and nose burning, remembering how effortlessly they accepted her into their family.

She took a deep breath before speaking again. “I love you so much.”

Still, her voice wobbles as she tries choking down more emotions. Crying had exhausted her, and she didn’t want to cry anymore tonight.

“I love you more.” He rubs his hand up and down her arm. “You’re gonna be fine, baby.”

jia quickly turned around to see a familiar face behind her. "oh! hello yunjin-ssi."

“it’s nice to see you, what are you doing here?”

“oh, one of my members is filming a challenge with beomgyu. i was headed to the bathroom but … i got a little turned around on my way." jia chuckled awkwardly, trying to maintain her composure.

yunjin smiled warmly. “ah, it’s easy to get turned around in here. would you like me to show you the way to the bathroom?"

jia, relieved at the offer, nodded gratefully. "yes, please. that'd be great. thank you, yunjin."

with a friendly nod, yunjin began navigating the maze-like corridors of the hybe building. jia followed closely behind, silently thanking her lucky stars for yunjin’s timely appearance. as they walked, jia couldn’t help but feel a little embarrassed—getting lost in another company’s building wasn’t exactly an ideal look.

“here we are,” yunjin said, gesturing toward the bathroom door. “if you need anything else, i’ll be nearby.”

“thank you, yunjin-ssi,” jia replied, her relief evident. she quickly stepped inside, did what she needed, and rejoined yunjin in the hall.

“thanks again for saving me,” jia said with a laugh. “i thought i was going to die in that hallway.”

yunjin laughed softly, shaking her head. "no problem at all, jia-sunbaenim. it's easy to get lost in here. are you heading back to the practice room now?"

"yes, i should get back before beomgyu and jeongin start wondering where i disappeared to."

"let me walk you back," yunjin offered. "it's on my way."

“thank you,” jia replied, relieved. as they walked, jia glanced at yunjin, appreciating her kindness. “so, how has practice been for you?" jia asked, trying to make conversation. "i heard you all are preparing for a comeback.”

“yes, it’s been busy but exciting,” yunjin replied thoughtfully. “the new songs are coming along really well! it’s been good, but challenging. we wrapped up filming a couple of weeks ago, and now we’re gearing up for music shows, so the pressure’s really on.”

“i can imagine,” jia said with a nod. “but i’m sure you’ll do great—you always do.”

yunjin smiled, touched by the compliment. "thank you, jia-sunbaenim. that means a lot coming from you. how about you? what have you been up to?"

“mostly the usual—practices, performances. but i’ve been thinking about starting some new personal projects too,” jia responded. “that sounds exciting! what kind of projects?”

“i’m not entirely sure yet. maybe something with choreographing or producing. i’ve been wanting to expand my skills beyond just performing,” jia explained, her eyes brightening at the thought. “well, i’ll be waiting to see what you end up doing, i’m kind of a big fan” yunjin offered sincerely.

"that means a lot to me, yunjin-ssi," jia replied warmly. as they approached the practice room, jia could hear faint music coming from inside. "looks like they're still at it," she remarked, glancing at yunjin.

they reached the door, and jia paused before opening it. "well, thank you again for helping me out, yunjin. i really appreciate it.”

"no problem at all, jia-sunbaenim," yunjin replied warmly, stopping outside the practice room door. "good luck with the rest of your schedules!"

"thanks, yunjin. good luck with your comeback preparations," jia replied with a smile.

"let's catch up again soon."

"definitely," yunjin agreed, waving as she started to walk away. jia hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "actually, yunjin-ssi, would you mind if we exchanged numbers? it would be nice to stay in touch."

yunjin's eyes lit up with delight. "i would love that, jia-sunbaenim!" she quickly pulled out her phone, and they exchanged numbers.

"great, now i won't get lost again," jia joked, feeling a genuine sense of relief and happiness. "thanks again, yunjin-ssi." "anytime," yunjin repeated, her smile broadening. "don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything."

with a grateful smile, jia pushed open the practice room door. inside, beomgyu and jeongin had finished teaching each other their dances and were running through them. they looked up as she entered.

“did you find the bathroom okay?” jeongin asked, raising an eyebrow.

“yes. some of us have an amazing sense of direction,” jia replied with a smirk. “now, how’s the tiktok coming along?”

she did super good in japan that’s their princess after all 

she also did a fan-tour around asia named after her album and because of demand she added lil dates to america and europe 

abc won 4 music shows,  read ur mind won 8,  and miss u won 13,  making her the hiraeth member with the most wins.  probably will win a lot of year-end awards too including best female solo  /  daesangs or something  :) 

she did veeeeery good but i’m not mentioning sales charts or views because i don’t care that much about all that.  she did GOOD that’s it 

kaia wrote every single track and collaborated with multiple producers from her company ███ and some outside it (thank you oomfies for allowing ur ocs to be part of this <3),  including her fellow member and the album’s most credited producer and composer,  poppy. 

there was some curiosity about the absence of the group’s main producer ███ from her tracklist,  but no one really dug too deep into it  ^___^  (yes. something happened.)

she was everywhere.  billboards,  magazines,  variety shows,  social media…  yea. she liked it, but at the same time she didn't.

however, she knew her popularity was being pushed down her family's throat, and she liked the idea of it because she knew they were seething! same with her ex members from akb48 lol.

kaia brought back the cat ears because she wore them in the miss u music video.  ariana grande’s my everything era who?

kaia admitted she enjoyed going solo but that her heart was in hiraeth forever and that she was missing and waiting for her friends to come back to her 

yvan and poppy forced everyone in the cast of their respective shows to stream the album it’s true i was there 

nothing bad really happened aside from the usual random hating and people bringing up old scandals and rumors about her and her group.  it was a very happy and fun time for her but she probably ended up very sick when promotions finally ended because of stress and exhaustion and paranoia because she wasn't hiding behind her member's shadows anymore and she was yk everywhere lol
