Well, he's mid fight and he smells it. Bruce's. But it's not like a faint memory or a soft breeze, more like a punch on the face, a strong waft...

That's his smell. And he has to physically turn around and search for him. Because... THAT'S. HIS. SMELL. Not Batman's, no. Bruce's. The smell he had after a shower, or when cuddling together.
