Forgiveness is one of the most difficult things to comprehend, but once you forgive, you liberate yourself from carrying around the burden of negative emotions (hurt, pain, frustration, anger, confusion…). Carrying around these emotions for a long time doesn’t serve you. It doesn’t mean the situation was right or the other persons behavior was ok. It’s saying I choose to move on and not let your actions negatively impact the sanctity of my personal energy.
