You’ve come to the right place, sugar! I’ve been roleplaying for about 10/11 years now. Crazy right, I feel so old now…point is I’ve been around the block a few times.

To start, being new is gonna suck at first. It’s hard to establish yourself in a pre-existing fandom, especially when you’re uncertain where you want to go with it. But the most important thing to keep in mind is that if someone says no, it’s not personal. You gotta take that no, pat it on its head and say thanks for the chat and move on to the next hopeful.

More often than not people aren’t going to come to you when you’re new because they don’t know what to expect. They don’t know your style, your headcanons, how you play the character. So you need to be the one to make a move. If you’re shy about asking for threads, check their rules to see how they feel about new people, and if it’s okay send them a meme when they post one. Or reply to an open starter.

The most important thing to keep in mind though is that this is all just for fun. You need to not let yourself stress about it which is so easy to do. More so when you’re stressing about getting yourself out there. If you get some people to roleplay with, go with it. Enjoy it. Who knows maybe your thread will catch someone's eye and they’ll come to you.

An attempt to refine!

Okay guys, here’s the deal. I’ve been making some headway with the writers’ masterlist but I’m having a bit of a snag in my attempts to filter everyone properly. But because while I would love to go through all your work to get an idea of what you write best, you know you better. So! If you could pretty please submit to us again your details with the new form below, it would be so totally awesome and I’ll love you guys forever. 

I think... I missed some people... Or a lot of people OTL I’m so sorry but custom tumblr themes apparently don’t show all notes on a post. I tried using the dashboard notes but... yeah my palm keeps hitting my trackpad and it scrolls up and down so I keep losing track of which person I’ve done or haven’t. So this is also a call out to those who are still not on the masterlist haha. Forgive me please

We now have a focus filter! Some writers only write specific pairings or characters and that’s fine and dandy for both the writer and the reader! It would really help out those trying to find specific character or pairing content if we could filter you out based on your focused character? Am I even saying this right what is articulation.

I’ll also be going through the masterlist again to refine the filter options. We’ll now have status filters and request filters so you can filter out those wonderful writers who have their requests box open for you to shoot them an ask!

In regards to the hate currently going on in the Drautos tag, perpetrated by dreamsorvisions, who is not only targeting people for their work but is intentionally targeting POC members of the community and posting photos of bloggers without their permission…I would just like to say that there’s no place for that here. This is a community, a place where we should all be able to comfortably come together and enjoy this fandom.

With that in mind, having already reported and blocked them which I urge you to do as well, I would like to state that should I come to find anyone else on here is doing so, and you are featured on this blog. You will promptly be removed, reported, and blocked. This is supposed to be a safe place, I will not stand by and watch while people are hurt for simply trying to enjoy being a part of the fandom.

So here’s the plan, how about a little friendly competition?

We need a new header, something a little more specific to our page. We’re looking for something that’ll grab your attention, get you hooked. You know, like the first sentence of a good fic.

Specifications:

The current header is 1920x1230, but theme will adjust to the size of it, still, we’d prefer it no smaller than 1000x500

It may include characters, but if it does it needs to either be a faceless image of one of them, or all of them.

Text is allowed, but only if it’s the url, it is not required though.

Keep it SFW

Otherwise, you have free reign to do whatever you wish with it.

Choosing The Winner:

Depending on the number of submissions it will be put up as a poll for the fans to choose from. The top three choices will then be voted upon by the Admins. If there aren't enough submissions to justify it, the choice will remain solely with the admins.

Any submissions not meeting the specifications will not be included in the voting process.

The Prize:

Your submission will be the new header for our page! Woo! Congrats! That’s all!

Just kidding there’s more, obviously your work will already be credited, but you will also be added to the affiliates as an added promotion to your page. Another promotion post will be made just to sweeten the pot.

As thanks, you will receive a drawing from yours truly as well as a promotion on my art/writing page and roleplay page.

So, as you all know, with great power comes great responsibility...and Addi and I could use a little help carrying that weight, our backs are breaking! Running a directory takes a lot of time, and seeing as we both work full time it seems two of our lists have gone neglected. So to make things easier we thought we’d take on some help.

While Addi runs the Writers Masterlist and I run the Roleplay Masterlist and over see the basics of the directory, we could use some friends willing to take over the Artists Masterlist and the Content Creators Masterlist. Now, it’s not all fun and games, there’s some tough work ahead if you’re interested.

We have some requirements that you need to meet before we even consider you.

You need to have a decent understanding of coding! [Addi’s been a doll, she suggested the shiny new set up for the masterlists, but she can’t take on the brunt of the coding. It’s a lot of work!]

You need to be willing to devote some time to the page! [We all know people have lives and jobs, lord knows I clock about 50 hours a week on my own. But if you can’t get on at least once or twice a week to do some updating what’s the point of joining us?]

You need to be friendly! [That means no bias, leave behind your personal problems, here we’re professionals. This directory is meant to benefit the entirety of the FFXV/Kingsglaive Fandom.]

You need to be a team player! [Changes are discussed before being made at all times, no matter how minor. Keep in mind you’re joining a team, we’ve got to work together here.]

You need to have a discord! [Or be willing to get one, you’ll need one for the interview as well. Oh yeah, we’re going that far.]

And that’s it! Pretty simple requirements to meet I think. Now here’s the next step. You’ll need to fill out this application and submit it to us. It may take us a little time to get back to you, so don’t let the wait get you down. :)

And last but not least! If you meet our requirements you will be added to a group chat on discord for an interview, we’ll send you a heads up first so you’re not caught off guard though. Why? Oh, well if we’re going to be working together we need to know each other, get along, all those fun things. Besides, we’ll have a few more questions for you before it’s official. It’ll be like an interview of sorts.

Thanks for being so patient while we get everything straightened out, it’s a lot of work and it'll take us a bit to get everyone added to our Masterlists but don’t fret you haven’t been forgotten!

We’re always around if you ever have any questions/suggestions. We won’t bite...unless you ask. And then we’ll think about it.

Also, I’ve gotta check in with Addi first, but keep an eye out for an admin application coming soon! We’re in need of a bit more help. I’ve got the roleplay masterlist covered, and Addi’s tackled the writing masterlist but we could use someone for the art one as well as the content creator masterlist.

So, if you’re someone with a decent understanding of coding who’s friendly and ready to do a little work keep an eye out for it! 8D

An Attempt to Simplify!

Trying to get everyone into the shiny new Masterlist has been a bit of a struggle. Not everyone reblogging the post is saying something in the tags. It’ll be hard for people to find you in the Masterlist if there’s nothing there for them to read!

So I’ve come up with a solution, a bit similar to Addi’s solution to the content creator hunt. Give the little questionnaire below a look over, fill it out, and shoot it to our submissions! I’ll delete them as I add them, this way no one gets lost in the notifications! <3

At the moment it’s just me and Addi and it iiiis a lot, but we are still at the beginning so naturally, there’s a lot of work for us to do to get everything up and running. Especially when there’s so many of you beautiful people creating so much content and wonderful roleplays. Buuuut, Addi isn’t available for me to talk to at the moment but I would happily discuss bringing someone else on with her if I knew a bit about you!
