I want to find other people's literary analyses of him, so I can explore more, but standalone, it's so cool that Urana gave a side character an inferiority complex about it. I love that. I haven't seen much of it. It would have been easy to write him as a sniveling, childish, selfish brat, but she designed him to be rather emotionally nuanced, and honest, with complicated motivations. I was nervous at where his story was headed when they were giving us his backstory, like, in the moment they revealed that his hammer wasn't originally his, but his childhood rival's, I was worried they were gonna make his inferiority complex, something integral to his personality for a decade or more, something he gets over in the span of a moment for the sake of the plot. I really enjoyed the way they gave us more nuance to work with, because that's reality. His motivation to be better than his rival fell as soon as he saw what happened to him, and I love how he sees him in Rudo. I love their parallels. God.
