A COURT OF MIST AND FURY POSTERS: The Inner Circle

Just stop for a second to think about how much this must have hurt Rhys. He’s finally been reunited with his mate who he had to watch be tortured and actually die, and he had to endure her having sex with another man through the bond. She’s just left Tamlin and the Spring Court, and has fully embraced the Night Court. She’s even won her engagement ring, although she doesn’t know that. For her to say that Velaris isn’t her home implies that she would rather be with her sisters who forced her to hunt when they were starving or with her abusive ex-fiancé than she would with Rhys. For him to hear that, but not be able to say anything, would be soul-destroying.

I was re-reading this chapter last night and this scene went right to the top of my drawing list. These two will be the death of me.
