SweetSugarBelle and everyone who tries them love these gingerbread cookies, which are a holiday favorite. Warm and comforting spices combined with sweet and rich flavors make them ideal for festive occasions or a cozy treat at any time of year.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 2 teaspoons ground ginger. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar. 1/3 cup molasses. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Instructions: Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on baking sheets. Put flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg in a medium bowl and mix them together with a whisk. Put the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl and mix them together until they are smooth and creamy. Mix the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract into the butter mixture until everything is well mixed together. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until a smooth dough forms. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for at least an hour. To make a 1/4-inch-thick circle, roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut out shapes with your favorite gingerbread cookie cutters and place them on the baking sheets that have been made ready. After the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. For a few minutes, let the cookies cool on the baking sheets before moving them to wire racks to cool all the way. If you want, you can use icing and sprinkles to decorate the gingerbread cookies after they have cooled. Enjoy your favorite gingerbread cookies from SweetSugarBelle!
