Ingredient Substitution Leads to Name Change: Simcade IPA
There's a shortage of Amarillo this season so I had to substitute Cascade hops. Â Still a very good hop and one that is often used as a substitute fro Amarillo.
I liked the old name better but not appropriate any longer.
Bitterness: 73.4 IBUs
ABV: 6.9%
1 oz Cascade hops
3 oz Simcoe hops

Simarillo IPA Recipe is Complete
I'm going for a beer with a light malt character so that the hops can show through. Â I love the Simcoe hops so I am trying to feature that. Â Let's hope this one is better than past attempts.
