So, finally, her vivid colors show. And here the bastard would retreat, her rage fueled and fury tempted. This lowly insufferable man with his insolence, his arrogance, his infuriating— “Good.” …Smile? Daegil’s body stilled under her merciless volley of venomous words and spiteful glares. Those prodding jabs were sharp just as her words had been, but that lax, tame grin of his remained so oddly out of place. “Sharp tongue with a good head on your shoulders. Guess there’s still hope,” he finished idly, contrastingly placid under her dangerous temper. “Bet that came naturally. I don’t think I’ve been told off by someone like that since I was a brat—though I guess not much has changed.” Old habits. “Still, impressive.” Looking down, however, he followed the rigid line of her finger dug painfully into his chest, briefly adding, “and now I’m assuming you demand some apology-” angel, demon, miss “-don’t you? You don’t need to keep stabbing me, though. Believe it or not, even beasts have a heart there. I’d like to keep it that way.”

Her retreat was a frantic jerk back as if his responding touch promised wicked burns and unforgiving bruises. Had she not anticipated matching forwardness? ”I won’t disagree with one in a million,” Daegil began, manner calm much like her own. Drawling on, he continued, “walking around stealing, picking fights and insulting innocent strangers…” Then, with weak fascination, he answered her question with an easy, “you’re more a little demon than an angel, and I don’t like them, so you don’t have to worry about ‘us’. Besides, I can’t date a woman in denial. It’s not flattering.” 

"Listen closely, I do not want to date you. Ever. I would never fall for someone as condescending  as you. Besides, I want a prince & not a beast."

Kazumi is always beautiful, and Jaehyun is always nervous.  He sees himself in her, and he also sees something tragic and lovely that he wishes to know more about.  But he is extremely shy and will proceed to be extremely awkward about how he approaches her.

"You’re not disturbing me.  I don’t mind at all, really.  I’m glad I can help, truly… you’re helping me from boredom, too.  So thank you."

her fingers curled around his jeans as she wiggled upwards to rest her head more on his lap --- a better & much more comfortable position. "find a scary movie to watch. i am in the mood to be scared."

lithe body wiggled. " --- and i don't blame you at all. but staring gets a bit creepy. now be good and let go so i can change back to decency."

Now it was his turn to be surprised, was it? Brows furrowing, he allowed the woman ample time to study and deduce, to think and— To insult? Oh, she was good. Almost too good. “Annoying and delusional— What a catch. And what would you know about who’s ‘better looking’? You’re hardly one to judge,” he hummed before grabbing her wrist and pulling his chin away, rubbing the area free of her lingering touch shortly after. This girl… What audacity. If this kept on, she could give him a run for his money, and that was something worth noting. “Not like it’d matter. Because do you know what you are?”

"visually appealing...it is not hard to tell."             thin shoulders shrugged. "out of boredom --- i'll bite. what am i?"

What to make of this troublesome woman? Unabating, resilient, aggravatingly witty… Daegil had to hand it to her; quite like him, he was rather impressed ( though he wore it better ). But he stood tall, and unabashed, provoked, “you’re just finding excuses to stick around, aren’t you?” Brow raised, he finished, “love at first sight isn’t practical, you know.”

"excuse me?" she wore shock well on her petite features --- dark eyes wide & round under darker lashes, eyebrows crinkled together as she stared at this strange, strange man. rudely, thin fingers moved to grasp his chin. "don't you think --- " she moved his face, studying his well defined features at a closer range. " --- i would pick someone better looking to fall in love with? at least someone without that disgusting  smoking habit."

"I don’t understand," A lone palm meets her face. Digits grazing her eyes, nose and finally lips as she drags it down. “You swear there was no other way to get this done then by calling me.” Lips jut out just a tad an expression that fades quickly. “I was watching something—-” Plus it was her day off. “Alright„.first we need male strippers.”

Change that cutting sarcasm into mild amusement, the contrast pulling his scowl into an incredulous, one-sided smirk. “Do you really think I find you that pretty?” How silly, yet, her demeanor wasn’t entirely off putting. She was surely persistent, however - shameless, too - Daegil snorting low and brusque. “Pretty enough to want you by my side that long? You’re out of your mind.”

"do you really think you don't?" a rebuttal made --- pretty face pulled into childish amusement. her confidence warranted, but  not really too genuine. still, it  lingers in her speech. "i am. don't you know that we all are?"
