Currently reading a dp x dc/batfam fic called Čaládo by Moonie_Void, and yall, I am at the edge of my seat-like full on vibrating but the good kind.
Don't want to spoil too much and there are currently only 9 chapters but for anyone interested in reading, the premise of the fic is Danny and Dick-centric with honorable Jason because we love the apparent crossover headcanon that Jason; who got revived by the Lazarus Pits? and in turn have a connection to the infinite realms as a sort of halfa.
From my understanding, Danny is vivisected by Maddie and Jack Fenton when he was super young because they found out he could see and be a ghost (I also don't think they're his bio parents in this fic???) like he wasn't even close to canon age I think young? and as a result he kinda turned into a black ghosty blob thing, because they really took taking him apart atom by atom seriously and is all sad and in pain.
fuck the fentons btw-minus Jasmine!-they can choke.
And Dick apparently can sense him, Jason too of course because of the pits, and so the batfam are trying to get really full on in contact with him so they can help him be whole again and help him heal.
Did I also mention Dick is Romani? And Danny can understand his (Dick) mother's tongue? And he also has a secret language of whistles and clicks and shit that was something only he and his parents could understand, before teaching the rest of the fam to stay connected to them, that Danny also knows? Actually super fucking cool if you ask me.
Y'all seriously I am vibrating, I want them to help Danny, I hope they are able to help Danny, he's just a little guy! He didn't deserve any of that! Fuck the Fentons seriously. Everyone, including me, is going through it. This is a tiny spoiler; I'm not sure, it is Author word of mouth tho, but it's hinted that they need a Fenton thermos to compress him back because he is Soup™️ sjdjshahfy I don't know how they're going to get one without getting in contact with the Fentons but I hope they do or find something adjacent to compressed him back.
